Framing an Italian 4sh or larger?

When you frame a sheet that is in 2pcs or more. Would you get it linenbacked? Or flatten as best as you can and use acid free tape on the back?

For me, if the poster was in good condition (other than having fold lines), I would lay it out and allow the folds to relax, under weight, for a while, then use the archival tape to assemble it, for framing.

Would you tape in pieces or one large piece right across the back to ensure it stays together?

Doing it in several pieces might be easier to handle, especially since you want to make sure the 2 halves are lined up accurately. Then you can check, as you put the tape down.
