Yes, I love that one too. That's what I'd call perfect advertising :).

Are you uploading photos direct to this website? (might be why the server crashed lol). If you upload to somewhere else like photobucket and link to it instead in your post, you can show many photos in the one post.

In the past when I had more time, I used photo bucket and three others of those. But it takes forever (when you want to upload more than 30 or 50 images...). Also they don't have a lot of "free" space. And when you or the upload-provider deletes some after years, you don't remember where or if you uploaded them which results in those boring forum pages filled with IMAGE DELETED OR NOT AVAILABLE. I see Paul has many of those here in this forum, many images are not visible any longer... It happened to me years ago in the Sergio Leone forum. I had uploaded about 100 posters & lc's, I don't remember why but at one time half of was suddenly off-line and I had to upload everything again.

Yeah, he is great. Very well-known in Germany... I have about 50 Litter-posters, half of them are for German films, 'not anybody here is interested in those...

His La Femme et le Pantin is one of my favorite Bardots.  La Legge is pretty good too.

Depending on image and price, I would be interested. To me, great art like Litter's transcends country and language.

A good film, Hardy Krüger everybody knows I presume... Also Marianne Koch - I made a documentary with her last year about A FISTFUL OF DOLLARS :). (to be released in the USA on Blu-ray this year)

he does excellent work

I think on occasion his paintings were used on British one sheets

*note: Mark Barrow informed me that British one sheets were not used for the domestic market, only import markets.

Really? I never saw his art used outside of Germany (some other artist - yes. Like GOETZE, WENDT or REHAK - Warner Bros. DVD cover artwork for HAMMER or James Dean for instance...)

Is Zarah Leander still known ? She was Göbbel's biggest star I suppose (her best films she did for Detlev "Douglas" Sirk, before he emigrated to the USA...

I'm still looking for this one (I have only the two-colored version, which is the 1960 re-release) :

Really great to see three very distinct designs in your examples today by Litter, Peckinpah!  Do you know what was his art training?  Have you already mentioned it previously?  Okie

Ernst Litter (1918 - 2006) studied at the Berlin art school, there he was a student of Jupp Wiertz, a legend in pre-war "commercial art" who was awarded 1st price twice at the Conseil Central du Tourisme International in Paris. (Sadly he passed away age 50 in 1939, by blood-poising, after he had injured himself while working with paint...)
Litter was active from 1946 until the late-60s. Approx. 600 posters, foremost for German distributing companies like Gloria, Schorcht & Constantin, but also Columbia Pictures...
