As you know, I haven't bought much of late, just some modern stuff, but couldn't resist this...

Congratulations, Paul!
A great poster from one of my all-time favorites!

These are great, Devin. Especially the B2 for Death Takes A Holiday. If that is from first release in Japan, that is a real rarity. I checked on imdb and no release year is given for Japan. How did you learn it was released there in 1935? A secret source?  ;)  You also mentioned this poster is a slightly undersized B2. Can I ask what the dimensions are?

I also have the B2 for Scanners and the colors and imagery just pop! Congrats on all 3 wins/purchases there.   sm1

Thanks Jeff!  The Death Takes a Holiday is 62x44cm (A regular B2 is 72x51cm), it's also been paper-backed.  Most information in Japanese lists the production year of the movie as 1934 (about 4 sites), but one site gives the Japanese release date of the movie as March 1935.  So I'm leaning to that one...

Thanks again, Devin. Good to know.

And once again, you have obtained a real rare one there, I would fathom to guess.

Gratz once again.  cheers

Crikey T, must be great living around the Hollywood area, or is it like water off a ducks back, as you grow used to it...

Oh, if you come across those stills, toss them over to the UK....   ;)

Yeah, you stop caring after a while.  When you live in LA and work at studios for many years, you eventually develop relationships with a few key people.  I have some good friends in this industry, and that's all I have to say about that ;)

A few more additions this month...Most of these were nostalgic buys for me. Some from the 'Up All Night' and 'Joe Bob Briggs' type shows that I fed off of as a kid and a few others to round off January.

Def-Con 4: I remember this VHS cover vividly at the mom & pop video store we got our rentals from as a kid. The movie is pretty bad, but this art is iconic for me.

Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-a-Rama: A staple on the late night cable b-movie/drive-in schlock shows that I loved.

Children of the Corn: Doesn't need an intro....

Ghoulies: Another late night Corman-like classic.

River's Edge: A cult classic with an equally memorable poster that's grittier than most of the films of the same age... Dennis Hopper with a young Keanu Reeves, Crispin Glover, and Ione Sky.

Rivers edge is wonderful! I have an oversize glossy  reproduction that was signed by Tim Hunter and Crispin glover when they did an event in a London a few years ago and the event organisers had the posters made up to go on backing boards whilst the talent spoke. So I was able to snag one after the event but they'd taken off the backing and rolled them up.

I actually snagged both of the signed Rivers Edge reproduction posters that Tim and Crispin signed so if anyone else is interested in one, message me!

Great stuff, as always, Paul. I especially like the KONG one sheet (I have one, too), LA-LA LAND and the BYE-BYE MAN (although I didn't like the movie, the poster is rather creepy). Bravo--as always.

If it is "glow-able," it will look even better. Would you be able to snap a pic of this poster under a black light, Paul?
