The Thai poster has some similar elements to the Japanese 1972 re-release, I wonder if it was made around the same time (not unusual for movies to be released in both countries close to each other).

A signature alone on a painting unfortunately does not prove in which period the artwork was painted...

I purchased a Tongdee thai movie poster painting from "Never Say Never Again" in 2004 and thought for years that it was the original one from 1983. then I found out that the seller (a certain Atchara Putong aka Benz) cheated me. They "customs created" the painting for me in 2004 and sold it to me as vintage 1983..

Brilliant fake nevertheless

Are you saying that Benz painted this in 2004, or that Tongdee repainted this in 2004 and Benz just sold it to you as the original.
My understanding is that Tongdee has been doing commissions for quite a while now.

I noticed this poster some several years ago also and my alarm clocks rang immediately!!

Too perfectly designed - definitely not from the 1960's in font and layout. It all screamed FAKE !!

More discussion on this poster, Thomas, starting from this post and continuing forward, with added info from mwright --
