In past Latest Acquisitions threads I have posted a few propaganda posters by Mexican artist Alberto Beltrán.


I was recently fortunate to acquire a lot of original political cartoon artwork by Beltrán. While these aren't posters, and they are not exactly propaganda, this seems like the most appropriate section to share them.  They date from 1959-60.  Unfortunately, the original artwork doesn't include the captions so sometimes the political message isn't entirely clear.  At some point I may be motivated enough to track down the publications in which they appeared.

I had this poster already in a smaller size.  But I'll never turn down a size upgrade for the right price, and in slightly better condition too!

This was published by the USA's Office of Inter-American Affairs in 1942 to gain support for the Allies in Central and South America.
