For most collectors, exhibiting your posters in a gallery is a dream come true, especially when you can present your material to a specific audience. For example, here's a recent exhibition panoramic from 2015 for the Orson Welles Centennial in Woodstock, IL.  This features the majority of my Welles' stuff.  There was also a glass cabinet (not pictured) with original mags and programs.

What an amazing display of Welles posters, Dave. You have some real treasures there. 

How did it come to happen that your poster collection was used for this centennial? Did someone approach you? And how long were they on display for?

Jeff - I know the folks from the organization who host the event - now called the Orson Welles Creative Arts Festival.  You can look at this and last year's schedule here.:  http://welleswoodstock.com/   It's a nice event in Woodstock, IL where Orson Welles spent his early creative years at the Todd School for Boys.

The 2015 exhibit of my posters ran for a month.  This year, they hung some of my collection that was specific to Welles' films about politics and Shakespeare.

To me, the more unique posters in the above photo are the TOUCH OF EVIL (UK Quad, 1st Release), THE THIRD MAN (UK Int'l 1 Sheet) CHIMES AT MIDNIGHT (Spanish country or origin, 1st release, B-Style), Mr. ARKADIN (Spanish country or origin, 1st release)

The UK Int'l OS for The Third Man is really nice. Is this from the first release? I've seen another version of this poster, as well, (with slight variations in some of the text and a London Films logo in the lower right corner) but dont recall if that version was said to be the first release or if it was this one.

I know there's been a lot of discussion over the years about THE THIRD MAN posters, and a couple of them have subtle variances related to the British studio release dates nationally and internationally.  Here are the images from mine.:

 Yeah, I think this Martinati artwork is only available on the locandina. Bought that locandina a few years ago. One of my favorite pieces. If I ever decide to let go, I'll let you know.

I know the photo I posted seems shorter, only because I had taken that photo for Instagram and cropped the blank part. Otherwise, the poster I have is the locandina and is in unbacked, perfect condition, if my mind serves me right. Just love that artwork that truly summarizes the whole story. Well, if I decide to let it go, I will contact you first.
