Very nice.  Rolled, mint, as it should be.

Well, I'm never going to own the US three sheet but I have managed to acquire his (very) little brother:

Interesting to compare it to the Australian version currently up for sale at Heritage, which I haven't seen before:

https://movieposters.ha.com/itm/movie-posters/horror/king-kong-rko-1933-australian-herald-closed-5-x-725-opened-725-x-85-/a/7132-86302.s?ic2=mytracked-lotspage-lotlinks-12202013&MyTrackedLots-101116

I like the way in the various King Kong formats that the artist didn't let perspective/proportion get in the way of great graphics - either Fay Wray is pretty pumped up (she probably was) or the US was using a special miniaturised airforce at the time.

That is a great piece of original Kong advertising, martinc.
Got plans to mount and frame it?
 cheers

There will be much dancing here in the woods when this baby lands in a few days.

Way to go, Martin! Nice score. Is anything printed on the back? Or does it unfold? That's a keeper for sure! clap clap

It does unfold:

It's bigger than a normal herald but I suppose most of the publicity for King Kong was larger than life.

Congrats to everyone, by the way, for all your new additions. I like the Argentinian one sheet - I had heard something of the Dwight Cleveland collection in the past but was unaware of its scope and size till I did a search on it. That was some collection!

Thanks for posting those added pics, Martin. It looks to be in fantastic condition, too, with no fold splits or separations.

And here's a pic of the Dwight Cleveland stamp on the back of the Arg. OS. It was done in such a light gray ink, that it shows as lighter, so I boosted the contrast to make it more visible. I really like the old style camera on the tripod that he included as part of his archive logo, too.

Chris, those are just fantastic!

The Hunchback, The Creeper and After Midnight daybills are all ones that make me  bed1

And the Richardson Studio artwork on AM just knocks it out of the park, imho. clap clap
