Suggestions for good budget poster frame for 27x40?
« on: October 13, 2016, 10:21:01 PM »
I recently picked up a 27x40 Fright Night video release poster and i'd really like to find a frame for it that won't break the bank, but is still a decent quality and will hold up over time. Are there any online options or specific brands you would recommend? I'd ideally like to find a good frame for $25 or less if possible? Thank you!

Best I come up with is to wait for the 40% off sale on the poster frame at Michaels

Thanks for the reply! I went to their website and they have a 2 pack deal going on for $53.99 total. http://www.michaels.com/2-pack-studio-decor-trendsetter-poster-frame-27-x-40/10455748.html#start=19 Are these decent quality?

The frames look to be plastic and the front, clear material is styrene, not UV plexi, so provides no protection from harmful UV rays that can cause fading.

For the poster that you have, these should work fine. I would just watch where you hang it -- out of direct light, sunlight or otherwise.   :)

I echo what Jeff said. Unless if sunlight is not an issue, go for it.

agree.  I have used these for posters I don't care about.  In addition, they have poor mounting points and simple bent wire tabs to hold the poster. The backing is also raw cardboard.

I would never put something I cared about in one, but for college dorm posters, they are a good value.

Thanks guys.. I picked one up at Michael's for $22 after a 60% discount. This poster is more than a college poster, but it's also not an original theatre poster either. Runs about $30-50 nowadays. Just love the artwork of it.

Hey WB, is the poster you are referring to, your video release poster for Fright Night that you showed here?:
