As some of you may know, I recently moved back into my house from a tiny, cramped, storage shed of an apartment. I had many, many framed posters in there with me--but they were standing end-to-end and I never saw them.  Now that I'm in the house, I have noticed several of the framed posters have gotten wavy or rippled while in the frames. They've been framed for 6 years or more. I'm baffled. Any ideas? THANKS!

Hey Shawn,

This topic (rippling and compression waves due to posters being framed over a period of time) has also been touched on in a few threads. Might be some good tidbits here, too  :)

Yur welcome.

I think posters can also develop waves if they arent held snugly in a frame by the backing board. Gravity can begin to pull them to the bottom of the frame, causing small ripples and waves.

Might be worth checking to see if any of your posters have become more loose in their frames.

I received my frames with a bunch of those clips. I found if I used all the clips, the posters always had waves. I then just used 2 of those clips at the TOP of the frames, thats it. Never had any waves when I used just the two clips.
