If jungle dramas and Viking or backwoods adventures can be seen as the fare of "Halloween flickers," I think this one would work, too.

It's true Horror/Terror -- but on a more psychological level.

Thanks TED. I used to watch this as a kid fairly often. There was a Saturday morning double feature on TV of old, cheesy horror flicks---and they would repeat them over and over every few month. WAR OF THE COLOSSAL BEAST was one of them. When you watched it this morning, did you get to see the "sixty foot giant destroyed in color"? I LOVE that! The blurb on the poster makes you think the flick is in color...when it's just the last few minutes in color! Ha! This is my favorite purchase of the year so far. Glad you like it.

I was planning on that.  should have done it up front.  I want to go out for dinner, so let's do a mercy killing on X.
