Another ridiculous email conversation:

THEM: This is xxxxx   xxxxxxx.  About three weeks ago I sent you a rare 3-D UP movie poster.  I have a poster receipt that tells me you got it.  I have not heard anything from you.  regards, xxxxx.

-------------------

US: Hello xxxxxx. Poster was sent to us unsolicited. That is not how we normally operate. If you would have asked us before sending it we would have told you not to send it.  I can't see that it has any value.  Sorry.

----------------------

THEM: I didn’t realize you were a “tourist trap”.  I guess that is an education of sorts.

-----------------

US: Yup, you got me. I built our website exclusively to trap people into sending us worthless posters.

It's incredible that eBAy allows so many vendors to sell fake re printed posters. How is it the district Attorney's office isn't involved yet? Incredible. And don't bother writing back saying "No, it's real." The term "real" is highly subjective. Of course it's a "real" poster, just like you are a "real" crook.

88letty88 is still around, and still very amusing.  -ShutterislandOVMP

Did you introduce Bitcoin as an alternative, or did the buyer suggest this form of transaction?

How did it go?

And why did you do it?  Do you dabble in Bitcoins anyway?

Cheers.

Yes, I've been in bitcoin and other cryptos since 2013. And no, not a lot. I wish I had bought more.

Yes it went smoothly. I added the option to our website a few months ago. The key thing for me was how do you solve the volatility problem? Bitcoin can fluctuate wildly. We made it so that the final invoice we send must be sent manually after the order is placed and it is only valid for 4 hours after we send it. Then we immediately transfer it to US $.

Please please not another bitcoin thread.

Let's discuss bitcoins in another thread in the "life, politics and the world" unless there is already a thread entitled "mumbo-jumbo" covering shady hidden financial institutions and their secretive sectarian practices.

Bitcoins-pushers and bitcoins-users are like Bible- or cult-pushers, they will do anything to spread the goodness of their master, the Gold bitcoin; while ensuring the all thing is secret enough and has his own jargon, process, etc. to ensure audience get attracted by this life opportunity to get rich.   It is all about mind control, biases and getting audience to catch the small, the old, the kiddy- and the weak fishes; just like cult does - https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/sideways-view/201402/why-do-people-join-cults  (Yeah, I joined a decentralised sectarian Ponzi scheme!)

We all know the meme - "Religion is like a penis. It's fine to have one and it's fine to be proud of it, but please don't whip it out in public and start waving it around..."  Same applies for Bitcoins. Bitcoin fluctuates more than my penis does.  Do I trust my penis, he let me down more than once :)

Nice. I’ll never understand the appeal of these shows and why people want to be filmed, but I like the fact that she didn’t sell it to that guy.

He needs to make $10k out of it... hahaha...  None for you.  She can send it to an auction house herself.  Cut the middle man and his $10k stamp.

Let alone the "$30K in fees" that he's going to have to pay to the auction house.  imbecile.gif

Ah, capitalism at work. Buy low, sell high. Currently anything decent or rare is going through the roof so she shouldn't have any problem moving it for a good price, linen backed or not. She's probably getting ready to call Heritage or Bruce right now.

Really?
You all think this poster belonged to the lady and that everything wasn't set up ahead of time by Dave?

Is Dave on the video?  Sorry, I don't know what he looks like.  Is it his poster?
