Great poster. Would you take a tenner for it?  ;D

Most of my recent purchases have been propaganda and travel posters, but I do have one recent movie poster purchase:

Nice pickup, here, Deke. And Sarita Montiel looks mighty fine in that rendition, too.

This arrived yesterday. Not the best shape with many edge wears, but pulled the trigger anyway worrying another affordable one will show up anytime soon.

I've been out of the game for a few months, but the movie-poster mania never goes away.
I finally found me one of these at an affordable price.
The pic is from impawards.com and the poster is from ebay seller mr-bigscreen (whom I strongly recommend)
http://www.ebay.com/usr/mr-bigscreen?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2754
Poster as described, lightning fast shipping and superb packaging.  A four-star seller!

Oh, and I liked the movie a whole, whole lot.

Nice pickup here, wormie.   thumbsup.gif

Was this one you found on "the bay?" Or thru another kind of seller or dealer?

I think this one is also Really good, Deke. I like it a lot.  thumbup

Any idea who the artist is?

And I see the name Julian Soler listed as both actor and director. Is this the same person?

Me too!  I knew nothing about the movie when I saw the poster pop up on the bay, but it has that Mexican caricature style I love.

Regarding the artist, if you look closely in the lower left by the devil's tail there is an "AA".  According to a Spanish language book I have on Mexican posters ("Sueños de papel : el cartel cinematográfico mexicano de la época de oro"), this is confirmed to be Andrés Audiffred.

This is my first poster by him (not sure how many others he did).  Here is an article on a recent exhibition of his work:
http://www.excelsior.com.mx/expresiones/2015/01/18/1003251

And yes, Julián Soler directed, acted in, and even wrote many films during this era of Mexican cinema.

The caricature style, too, is what first caught my eye (and the light green-colored faces).

It's a great poster.

Congrats again, on finding and getting it.

 bed1 I need a Starfall, congrats Wormie! I'm jealous!

Oh, and I liked the movie a whole, whole lot.

Nice pick up, Ted! I loved the film, I need that poster. Has been a good little period for horror with The Witch, It Follows and Babadook all coming out recently. I enjoyed all 3 a lot. Great to see you back posting too!

Thanks, Tob!
I agree with you on all 3 horror films.
The Babadook surprised me. Cool little film.

Here's a few Turkish horrors that I just got from Bruce @ Emovieposter.

The Omen (1976) is still one of my all-time favorites and this poster is from the 1980 first release in Turkey.

1971 Turkish release art for The Murder Clinic (aka Revenge of the Living Dead) a 1966 giallo about murders at a mental asylum.
Mental asylum? Hmmm... that sounds awfully harsh and insensitive.
What is the politically correct term for 'mental asylum?'
Democratic National Convention, of course.
