It's a great image of Lee from Scars of Dracula, and in person it's first rate.

Paul's image looks far better, in my opinion.  The colors are brighter and the image itself is crisper.  The "corrected" version looks a bit washed out.

Somehow I suspect that Mel's is more true to the color of the original.   Notice the green cast to the white border in the original.  Mel probably used auto correction for color, balance and contrast and came up with what he did.

BTW, that said, I can't believe I never knew about the lens correction feature in photoshop.  Thanks for that tip, Mel.
Best regards,

Holiday

Well, before we go printing these...

If it is not too much trouble Mel, why don't you post a super close up of Franky's face and maybe some credit detail at your highest available resolution.  I'd like to see how it would stand up at print resolutions.

I don't have the "blow up" software necessary to print it up at 27x41 size.  (That costs $150 - not willing to spend that $$ to print repros.)

This appears to be a decent repro for sale for $90 with "money back" guarantee.

Imagine, I have nearly 900 items that I need to put into an update, and I pick this one to post right now.  This is a great print by one of the guys at EB.  Nice to know that with places like Cinema Overdrive and artists like this, that Alamo won't rule the movie print world.

Best regards,

I think these go in this section.... I've just got these from a local artist, who's very into the Horror genre. As he's going in another direction with regards to how he paints. he's clearing out some older stuff...... cue, me  ;D

He was going to add back grounds to the Werewolf, and Creature from Curse of Frankenstein for me, but is a bit rushed at the moment to finish some new pieces for an exhibition he's having at the end of October.

The Curse of the Werewolf painting is rather wide...

Very cool, Paul.
Roy Ashton's werewolf design is still my favorite lycanthrope.
Your friend is very talented.

Thanks Ted, I'll pass your complements on to him.

I hope he gets a different change of direction again soon as his Bela as Dracula, and Lon in London after midnight are quite the ticket. Both Done in glorious B&W. ;)

Some awesome monster art there, Mr. Waines.  Really like that Videodrome too.

My first prints.  Probably not the start of a new genre in my humble collection, but I think they are epic prints.  Thanks Ves.  Top notch packaging and everything was perfect.

I think this Willy Wonka would have more of an impact if it were in a larger format like a one sheet, but still very nice.  As Shcan mentioned, this print from Chuck Sperry is very high quality.

Both versions for Scarface are awesome.  The traditional one sheet design is not really my style, for various reasons, so I'm definitely stoked to have these for an iconic film.

Love that Willy Wonka Neo!

I bet Ves used a double thick cardboard tube. It's virtually crush proof.

Thanks, Matt.  She used a large diameter PVC tube for shipping these, that I could probably drive over in my car and still be intact.  They arrived in almost "like new" condition.

Cool, Mel.  I gotta go to Cali someday.  Too bad that joint is closing, it sounded like a great place.  I wonder what paper they're gonna be peddling.

These are probably 2 of my favorite prints.  If my wife let me put prints/posters around the house, I'd probably frame them together.  Really gorgeous in person.

For some reason, I thought there were other reasons why you didn't frame your stuff, T.  These Scarface prints do look awesome in person.  I never thought about framing them together.  Cool concept.

Excellent! I was actually in San Francisco last week for work.  I went over to the Haight-Ashbury district and took these pics of the Red Vic, which recently closed. They are having a poster sale on October 8.  I saw one of the Wonkas posted in the lobby:

I went today and picked up prints for Raging Bull, Machete, and Miles Davis, one sheets for Following and The Proposition, and a soundtrack poster for Killer Klowns.  Not a bad haul at all!

Thanks.  You know what you did.

Very cool, Schan. Zoltron's RAGING BULL might be his best.
Nice haul.

The one I saw just looked like it had a red border.  Possibly it is printed on red paper; but, if it was, it certainly wasn't something that jumped out at you.

This one just arrived from Lure Design Inc.  The best paper I've seen for the movie IMO.  A great movie that really deserved better original paper, the teaser with the 12 Monkeys symbol is alright, and the others, well, I'll just say that I've been noticing myself steering away from the "floating heads" art (even though I already have one with the "floating head" art  :-\).  This print is very high quality, on cardstock, and is numbered.  There are still some available.  Shipping was lightning fast and it was packaged well.  http://www.luredesigninc.com/store/cult-classic-movies/12-monkeys
