Actually, Stephanie and I have wine and cheese every Friday night, we sit at the breakfast bar (the part of the kitchen bench with a place to stick our legs under), we do it because it is a good way to relax from the week that was. It goes back to the days of Friday nights drinks after work before drink driving etc etc. So now we do it at home, sometimes our neighbours drop by because they can walk home! Nothing special I can assure you, red and/or white white, some cheddar, crackers, bread stick a few other bits and pieces and that's about it.
As to the informal lounge name, I dunno what else to call it, it's the only name we can give it because 'laundry', 'kitchen' and 'garage' were already taken and we do have three lounges (the place where we have lounge suites) so we have to call them something so we know which one we are talking about!
