Nice poster Erik, do you have the Murder on the Orient Express to accompany it? They would look great together.

His R82 Raiders has always been one of my favorites.

Recently, I've been on the look out for The Long Goodbye one sheet with this art.

Unfortunately I don't own enough of this great man's work. In addition to the fantastic Raiders re-release one-sheet, I do have a few others...

The original Raiders

Sadly, he left us way too soon. Thunderdome was his last poster. He passed away in November of 1985 from complications brought on by the AIDS virus. He was only 37.

Thanks, motsm. And no, i dont Murder/Orient Express, but I agree they would look good together. Your RR Raiders is great, too. And have you had any luck finding a copy of the Long Goodbye for sale? Or is it one that doesnt appear that much?

Great posters, too, Ted. he has such a definitive style that on can ID his posters, almost immediately.

And I agree... the poster world lost his talent much too soon.

The Long Goodbye apparently went through a re-branding shortly after it's release, and the one sheet was replaced with Jack Davis's art below, which is much more common. The first version still pops up now and then, but they always seem to be in shabby condition, so I've passed on a few.
