My dad collected a number of Royal Doulton mugs back when he was overseas, while in the service.

Among the ones he has, is the the very same style mug you have in your curio cabinet, behind Poolboy, there, Paul.  thumbup

Picked this up from EBay recently. It's an Italian '62 release of Way of a Gaucho. Haven't seen any of these on EMP or Heritage before. Love the paler figure of Gene on this.
Cost me peanuts as well, one happy chappy today

Those are awesome!

Thanks!  I posted some other (non-film related) posters from the 1968 Olympics over in the Advertising Latest Acquisitions section:
http://www.allposterforum.com/index.php/topic,10534.0.html

There are some other posters by the same artist (Palladini), including one for a space exploration exhibit that I like a lot.

Gentlemen, I just had to buy these two covers. In many ways I know  these are just  the cover not the whole magazine. But I  have been waiting  for them long enough. So, now mine.

Artists is the best in town Emil Flohi.. (in my own personal  book!)

Congratulations Rosa on your Rudolph Valentino acquisitions.

Just read who he was, an italian born actor the ladies liked but died at age 31

I think these posters I just received are pretty neat.  They are from the Cultural Program of the 1968 Mexico City Olympics.  Among theater, dance, music, poetry, and other cultural events and performances, the 1968 Olympics also hosted a film festival.

Here are a couple posters advertising "El Cine Japones" (Japanese Cinema) and "El Cine Cientifico" (Scientific Cinema) respectively.  I like the artwork quite a bit. It has a very 60's hippie vibe to it, while also being reminiscent of art nouveau. The artist for both posters is David Palladini.

Deke, these are really nice. Love the designs and the overall vibe of each.

Great score!

Thanks. Interesting  you say this. A friend  of mine thought these were Valentino  meaning Valentino the  Fashion designer   not the actor. Never heard about the actor. Oh-lah lah.

Rosa : I'm so happy! Got two magazine  covers with Valentino
Friend: (after checking the covers)  He is my favourite  fashion designer. His look is just fab. Love Valentino.
Rosa: (silence)
Friend what?

Got this one hanging next to my Virginia Rappe lobby card, I'm hoping they don't spontaneously combust.  Probably a '20sR for the 1918 Fatty Arbuckle film, (with Buster Keaton, referred to as "Malec" on the poster), for The Cook:

This stunning 1923 WC for Circe, the Enchantress was apparently saved from the ravages of time by being placed in the back of a picture frame in 1927.  Never seen a 90+ year old piece of paper quite like it.

Been after a Farina card for a long time.  In spite of the condition I'm quite happy with this TC for 1923 Stage Fright:

The Circe WC image has always caught my eye, too. It's a beauty.  thumbsup.gif

Long Goodbye 30x40 rare style. I talked that guy on ebay into finally giving me a decent price, though it was a little more than he originally said before he found it was a rare poster

a small painting by my friend Mikal Vollmer that I picked up in San Diego last month

My old buddy Bill Stout was next to me.. it was good to see him. He did this in one of his books for me.
here are also some pages from the book

Mark

I hate to tell you what he sold for low money before I saw them.
he finally chatted me by phone & I foolishly gave him honest info and then he raised his price on me
once he lowered it to 500, I figured I would make him an offer. he'd had it out for so long at 750 he probably hurt himself
