That artwork caught my eye also, Tob.
I believe it is a 1988 COO RR poster for The Wild Swans, a 1959 Soviet-animated version of the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale about a princess whose brothers are turned into swans by their evil stepmother.
There is a dubbed version on Youtube:

Excellent! Thanks Ted, very good info there. I'm going to watch some of that on youtube later to see what it's like. Lovely looking poster.

Grapes of Wrath is stunning, even beats the Thomas Hart Benton posters.  Would love to have one.

Ever since I stumbled across it in a dictionary years ago, "jackassery" has become one of my favorite words.  Became particularly appropriate in the internet age.

I feel like "douchbaggery" implies a dick-ish/condescending intent that is absent in "jackassery".  A great word and all in good fun.   8)

Choko has one.  It's on linen, though.

Looks okay to me.  What happened is that they re-released the movie, but it was a small re-release and they didn't take the time to photoshop what looks like an original set photograph.  Who cares if it's out of focus, it's not meant for collectors and you get the point.  Someone with more money would have probably made it look better, but it doesn't really matter for a 10 theater re-release.

T
i guess i shouldnt moan about the beast poster, seeing as it cost 5 euros. but as i have had experience with design and printing, that kind of thing bugs me somewhat. given a couple of hours i could have easily made it look better!

I don't know much, but i do know what my eyes are telling me!

im guessing anyone that know me would know that my grapes of wrath is NOT and original, haha its a RR from 2000. and its a medium size. truth be told i only got it to make the P&P on my beaty & beast poster work out better. saying that its a lovely image!!

This piece from Romero's The Crazies is killer.
Well done, sir.
 cheers

i recently got lucky with a few italian 2Fs that were in nice condition and didnt get smashed to bits because they were packed by numptys that live in italy!

and yeah arri that bloody moon poster really dosnt show up to much at all, again pleased when it arrived and the pics of it on ebay were terrible and blurry. that it was in fantastic shape :D

im quite pleased with them all to be honest!!

Thanks to whoever sold this in auction to me. I have been wanting this one for a while and bit because it is in great condition. I wanted the best poster bearing Gloria Grahame's likeness and I reckon this is it.

3 sheet:

Oh, I'll add a close up (the poster has more text on it than I usually like leaving only a small image area):

Been eyeballing this one for years, the exchange rate, a wonderful discount by the seller, and some Christmas cash finally made it happen.  A 1907 horizontal g-r-a-n-d-e for La Terroriste:

I started and completed a mini collection in one go.
I only have seen one pof these films, But I loved it, and will track the rest down now.
But one of each of the 8 Jerry Cotton films, German A1's.
I will dedicate a wall to them .

Nice collection there, Ari. I really like 1-4, that have the drawn artwork. I dont know this character or movies, but will now try and check them out.

Grats on the insta-collection, too.  thumbup

I haven't been around in a couple of weeks...but I must say, there is some nice stuff on display so far this year. I'm trying to cut back this year, but I haven't stopped buying and have posted a bunch of new purchases on my thread (clearly I'm NOT cutting back enough. Ha!). Here's a peek at my favorite three so far this month/year:

TALES FROM THE CRYPT (Italian 4F):

BARBARELLA (US one sheet):

Jollyfine start by everyone so far this month, wish I had something better to join in with.

I have just received this, only 80 produced, so pretty scarce.

It's more than a Hobby...

This arrived at the end of Dec, (a gift, actually) but I only got around to taking a few pics recently. Sorry for the glare on the bottom of the first snap. I've always liked this imagery and the creative, artistic way that the flame from the top of the Ghost of Xmas Past's head creates the 3/4 profile of Scrooge.
