Christmas Movie Posters and Prints
« on: December 14, 2015, 09:00:20 PM »
It's the most wonderful time of the year.

There is already this great thread: Christmas Day Favourites (movies) http://www.allposterforum.com/index.php/topic,1457.0.html

How about a new thread for favorite Christmas movie posters and prints.

Here is one of mine:

Thith Tree is a Thymbol

Thanks, Rosa.  I think it's a neat, different look for the classic movie.

Some folks here must have great posters and prints that show the Christmas spirit.

Some of the best for the season are from Coca-Cola.  A fun history, from Collectors Weekly: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/coca-cola/christmas

The modern image of a fat, red-suited Santa Claus with a beard is often attributed to Haddon Sundblom, an artist hired by Coca-Cola in the 1930s to promote their product during the winter months. The ads he created portrayed a ruddy Santa Claus bringing cheer with a bottle of Coke, and the image stuck.

Here's a cool window display from 1934.  http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/142407-the-coca-cola-santa-claus?in=93

Some of the vintage Christmas Playboy magazines have great covers, such as this one from Haddon Sundblom:

I watched this, too, Ted, over the holidays. I do every year.

The Alastair Sim version is probably the best film adaptation of the story (imho).

It's a true classic and an amazing film!   clap clap

Home Alone (1990) is a real Christmas classic.  It was one of my favorites back in the day.  I was about Mr. Culkins' age when it hit the theaters.

These are 2 photo lobby cards from Belgium.  The scenes used for these cards are only on the German and Belgian versions, and it's cool that the latter have the film title in English.

Brandon I agree 100% Home Alone is a Christmas Movie.
What do you think about this one being a Christmas movie?

Or how about the Original Die Hard?

I'd say that Gremlins and Die Hard are "Christmas movies."  They're in the spirit of the season and all.

Very nice, Schan.  Looks like a good movie, and the poster is a nice look at a wintery World War I, and an elegant Ms. Sorensen.

Time to revisit this thread, once again, at this magical time of year. I only own a couple Christmas themed posters and they would be these:

Krampus (2015); US Advance OS:

A Christmas Carol (2009) US Advance Style B OS (sorry for the flash glare at the bottom. Cursed, glossy paper  ;D )

That one for Krampus is a great.  It would be cool if there were more of them alternate Christmas style flicks.

This isn't an original poster...unless someone in Ghana or somewhere decided to use it for a re-release...but here's this one that I mentioned last year: http://www.allposterforum.com/index.php/topic,872.msg194927.html#msg194927

Christmas is only a week away!
