@ Deke, I am always looking forward to seeing your posters. I thought I knew about Mexican cinema...clearly i do not

Thanks! I am sure you know more about Mexican cinema than me! I just have a compulsion to buy the posters. Actually I have a few books on Mexican cinema and have read about it, just haven't bothered to watch more than a handful of movies.

For a few years I've been meaning to at least watch some of Buñuel's Mexican films. I am a fan of some of his later films (Belle de Jour, Discreet Charm, etc) so I will get around to the Mexican ones at some point.

A rare (for me) non-Mexican purchase.  I was planning to buy a Mexican poster off of craiglist, only to discover when I got to the seller's apartment that it had been dry-mounted to foamcore (which wasn't evident in the CL listing).  The dry-mounting was a dealbreaker for me, but he was willing to sell me this Tron quad at a good price:

Sweet poster.  It is always a treat where there is an opportunity to work the "Crush your enemies. See them driven before you. Hear the lamentations of their women." quote into everyday conversation.

I got some cheapies... that's my excuse

4F - I like Baby Spice

2F - I like the poster, and being a bit of a computer nerd thought why not. The movie is supposed to be ok! Electric Dreams (1984)

2F - I like the image from this! Do You Remember Dolly Bell? (1981) film from Yugoslavia

I haven't seen Dolly Bell, but Emir Kusturica is a great director.  When Father Was Away on Business, which won the Palme D'Or at the 1985 Festival de Cannes, is a personal fav of mine.  And I can see that Do You Remember Dolly Bell?, which is his first feature, also won the AGIS award at Venice.  I need to check it out.

That Tron Quad is nice. Great pickup. The Rocky one is interesting. I do not think I have seen that one before.

Have you ever seen Arizona Dream?  Back in the day I had to buy a region free DVD player to watch it (Studio Canal I think) and I never regretted it!  The film is a bit kooky, but an outstanding cast. And of course I got plenty of use out of the DVD player as well :)

I did, but it never hooked me like When Father Was Away on Business, which is a masterpiece.

Congratulations Steve,  the Kusturica poster is lovely. She has an apple, is she meant to be Eve?

There is only ONE Eve, Rosa...

(I made it small to not distract from the Kusturica poster).
