She is great in Urban Cowboy.  I still think it's one of Travolta's best films.  I'll never get sick of her scene where she rides the mechanical bull.

Thank, I am trying to imagine this

This one was, for some reasons, very hard to get.  Apparently, they printed a very small amount and all of them are accounted for.  It is also printed on vinyl style paper, and not on the usual wilding paper.  And it was wrapped in paper.  Brand new.

But I insisted and I finally got it yesterday.  I needed it for my Zemeckis collection.  I put a picture of my kids next to it for size.

Very cool.  cool1   Great movie, especially in IMAX 3D.

Looks like a high quality banner, especially relative to wildings.  It's probably about 20 feet long, huh?

It's 7 or 8 bus stop posters put next to each other, Rosa.

I see it as a historical artifact.

Something that will mean nothing to you guys but means a hell of a lot to me...

Finnish Duel poster for my Steven Spielberg collection.

Being a completist can really suck, especially when you spend 8 years courting someone in the hope that he will sell you that one poster you've been after for so long.

Well, he finally did, and I'm happy.  Wasn't cheap, but I don't care, it's mine.  My 33rd Duel poster.

Very nice poster, congratulations!

Amazing poster - congrats!

Thanks Stripe! And congrats on your Yugo lobby cards for 'The X from Outer Space'
I think seeing the pictures from your flea market find of them subconsciously made me buy a poster a couple weeks ago for that movie.

The Elephant Man (1980); US OS, dir. by David Lynch. This is a film & poster image i have always really liked. I think the B/W cinematography, acting, sets, costumes, makeup and casting were all simply top notch. I'd also love to find out who did the art for this poster, too. It reminds me of an etching. Or was it a photo, that was later, digitally manipulated in some way, to create this effect?

I NEVER noticed Mel Brookes isn't credited (how did I miss that?)

Agree re the film, and shot by the wonderful Freddie Francis.

PS- pretty sure its a photo

Thanks, Ari. The film was beautifully shot.

I was looking at the OS, again, up close with a magnifier and the imagery on this is looks to be cross-hatching (or photo software to create this look). It was this cross hatched design that I was always so drawn to, as I also really like etchings. I would guess the basis of the image was a production photo, similar to that used on the JP B2:

.

Here are a couple close, closeups I took, of 3 areas:

On wiki: "By his own request, Brooks was not credited, to ensure that audiences would not expect a comedy after seeing his name attached to the film."

I love the poster (and film) as well Jeff. I'd be interested to know who the artist was as well.

So I am confused.  Does Peter sell posters too?  I thought he was a socialist EdUK...  I wanted this one.

Never thought finding a DS version of this poster would be so difficult.  Goes good with my quad.  Winter's Bone US OS:
