Hello there comrades.

I just put up a link to my Thai "Prince of the City" on Ebay. Auction price starts at $50, but you can "buy it now" for $65, plus S&H. (I would love to upload a photo but no matter how small i shrink my image it keeps giving me an error message).

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Prince-of-the-City-Dir-Sidney-Lumet-original-movie-poster-Thai-version-/321872625793?

P of C is the second installment in Sidney Lumet's unrelated and informal "Police Trilogy." The first in that trilogy is the iconic "Serpico" (nope, don't have the Thai version of that) and the third is "Q&A" with Nick Nolte (not sure a Thai version exists).

The Thai version of this poster is soooo incredibly different from the US or any other version of it I've seen. The original artwork was done by the legendary Thai poster artist Gwow. It's almost comical, painted to look like Treat Williams is bursting through the poster with gun in hand. Around that central image is the typical Thai movie poster montage of different scenes in the movie.

The Thai name of the movie translates to "Cops Slicing Cops"

The artist's name is actually Kwow, not Gwow.  thumbsup.gif

This is very true. I spelled it in the direct transliteration, but he actually used a K when he signed in western script.

Thanks for the clarification.

Just listed a combo deal of Evil Dead 1 & 2, Thai version's of course, on Ebay.

$200 for the pair.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Evil-Dead-1-and-2-Original-Thai-movie-posters-Dir-Sam-Raimi-Bruce-Campbell-/321874793395?ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:US:1123

Evil Dead 1 features original artwork by Noppadol. The art is unique to the Thai version and the poster itself is getting harder and harder to find these days.

Evil Dead 2 features original artwork by Jinda which only incorporates one of two elements from the US original - namely the skull with eyeballs.

Thanks for checking it out.

If anybody is interested, my Ebay auction for the Thai "The Warriors" is ending in about 21 hours. Listed price is $175 + S&H.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/321867075660?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2648

The Thai name for the movie is "The Great Gang Hunt," and the log line reads "Watch a ruthless hunt of an American street gang as they make their way from Manhattan to Brooklyn"

Below that, in white letters it reads "Starring savage American gangs"

On this sweltering Bangkok morning I am offering up an original Thai version of the Jackie Chan classic "Drunken Master."

The Thai name translates loosely to "The Kid with the Drunken Punch." The English title is listed as "Drunk Monkey in the Tiger's Eye," which is apparently the direct translation of the title from Chinese to English.

Asking price is $150 + S&H. If interested please inbox me. I'm not listing this on Ebay for the time being.

It's doubtful. I don't really know anybody outside of the Thai poster dealers.

Good day to everybody.

Today I'm listing my copy of the Thai ghost film "Phi Ta Bo," which translates to the Hollow Eyed Ghost. The ghost itself is one in the large pantheon of traditional Thai ghosts.

This movie came out in 1981, making the poster itself 34 years old. In near mint condition

$45 +S&H. Inbox me if you're interested.

Greetings. Today I'm listing my copy of "Dance of the Drunk Mantis," which is also billed as "Drunken Master 2," although it absolutely is not that movie. Nevertheless, this poster is gorgeous, in my humble opinion. Starring Wang Jang Lee and Sam the Seed, best known for his role as the Drunken Master.

Asking price is $60 + $12 S&H.

Or....buy it along with "Drunken Master" starring Jackie Chan for an even $200. Shipping included

Greetings. Today I'm listing the poster that is also my APF profile image.

Thai version of "Guyana: Crime of the Century"

The 1979 film is exploitative telling of the Jonestown Massacre story and cult of Jim Jones. Grisly film with an over the top performance by Stuart Whitman in the role of Jim Jones. Available in full on Youtube.

Original Thai poster art is unsigned, but I'm guessing that the artist is Rim, for those who care about such things.

Poster here is for sale for $40 plus $15 dollars shipping. Inbox me if you're interested.
