Did you never get the Poster price Almanac?
I guess us from APF aren't good enough for the book...
What happened?
Did you fail a piss test?
I think she wants us to contact her if we are interesting in spilling our guts about the hobby.
I have too many secrets to tell about all of you, so I won't be participating.

Just seemed odd she never came back...
I was "interviewed" but I cant imagine it "making the book" hahaha (boring)
Hey folks, sorry I've been kind of MIA of late, but I've been working like a dog to finish the book. thumbsup.gif Today is my deadline!!!!! Thankfully everything is just about finished and heading for layout. There will be at least three interviews in the book from folks I met via All Poster Forum. I'll let those three tell you themselves, if they are so inclined.
If I sent you the questionnaire and you responded, but did not hear back from me, then I did not receive your answers. But, I can still interview you for our website: http://scoop.diamondgalleries.com. It'd be a great way for me to amp up excitement for the book and you'd have thousands of people reading about your awesome collection/movie and collecting knowledge. Win-win! We are also already considering the second edition of this book (I've already started the list of what I want to cover) so interviews can be done in a few years for that one. If you're interested in being interviewed for the website, send me an email: samanda@gemstonepub.com
And don't worry, All Poster Forum is mentioned more than once in the book. ;D
If you have any questions, let me know.
I didn't get a reply, so i guess it wasn't received, unless thats a polite way of saying NO GOOD :)
Anyway, thats cool, infact I am kinda relieved. haha
Hi Amanda, ask away.
Stew
well done. can we expect more to be posted? Might I suggest pics of the individual with his/her posters.
Yeah, there is a great pic of Ari with his Black Swan somewhere
Thank you all! I would like to see some of the other interviews. I will have to pick up a copy of the book when it comes out.No one in particular, just a "posters in action" thing. It would add more to the person's story, rather than just jpegs or their posters. Not that there's anything wrong with that!
Crazy Vick Is there someone in particular you had in mind?

I see! We could put together a calendar for the fun of it! Haha
Ari embraces his Swan, T admiring Beiber......it could be pics of all the "elite" with their posters!
bed1 I think it would put all those puppy and firefighter calendars to shame!
Zowie! This thread totally fell off my radar. Nice job, Chris! I just finished your interview.
Anyone know when the book is due out?
Got mine from Amanda today. Nice article Jeff... Have you posted your mask collection on here somewhere?
And I see you are 'published' now too. Congrats. thumbsup.gif
Okay--so I just ordered mine. $15 plus shipping--not a bad price.
Cheers~!
I hate to be critical, but there weren't enough pics of Linkenback's legendary collection.

I got my copy of the book the other day. Very nicely done and different from what i expected. (I had an issue or two of the Overstreet Comic Price Guide way back in the early 80s or possibly late 70s. This was NOTHING like that.) I like how it was done. There were articles on various poster artists, interviews with collectors, looks at specific film series (Tarzan, James Bond, Star Wars, etc.), storage, etc. Much niced than just a list of titles and prices (which was like that old comic price gfuide i am remembering was like). Nice full color glossy pages throughout. VERY well done.
We (Gemstone Publishing) still write and publish The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide, but it's the only price guide we produce. If I tried to create a movie poster price guide I'd be passed out from exhaustion because that would be waaaaay too big of a task.
Yeah, what a great interview Shawn! Very insightful.
