To me the scariest one. I remember this one image on the 8mm tin case. We watched the film nearly every Saturday with dad and my sis.

Sadly no idea. Nearly all is gone after last winter's flooding. We couldn't rescue much of the stuff we had in the attic. I managed to find the projector. I have been searching for the tin. My dad thinks is still there..but our attic is huge...and in such a mess...can't find it.

Thank you! It is gorgeous dont you think? is a hand-inked, hand-painted production cel. One of the best i have seen and as someone else pointed sold for a pretty penny at HA. I would love to have one for sure.

It's based on the legend of Krasue from Thai folklore. Here's a description of her from Wikipedia. She's one hungry wicked head.

If I'm not mistaken, filth eating ghost eats excrement. That came from someone who is Thai who deciphered the poster for me. These legends are nasty. In the Indonesian film MYSTICS OF BALI (Mondo Macabro released DVD), there is another Krasue like legend called a Leyak that is a flying head with entrails that feeds on unborn fetus blood in pregnant women. The film has terrible effects, terrible acting and is pure joy to watch.

I think its pretty freakin' scary.

"Flying witch head movies" is actually a whole mini-genre in Indonesia! MYSTICS IN BALI is the most well-known and was released on DVD by Mondo Macabro. And to make matters worse, these ladies have a taste for unborn babies...

I'd say these are more freaky than scary, but they are damn weird to look at. I'll try to find more scary stuff but Thai posters seem to go all out.

This IT 2F for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, seems to fit really well, here, too. Those scenes in the movie where people were dragged back through that doorway, with the metal door sliding and slamming shut behind them, always freaked me out.
So this imagery conveys that, imo, to a T.
