I have slowly started branching into Mexico-related tourism posters. Here is one recent acquisition (ca. 1950s):

I did not know about Patzcuaro before I got this poster. I did some research and it looks like a beautiful place, with a rich and fascinating history.

This one is by A.X. Pena from 1945, for the Direccion General de Turismo (Tourism Ministry).

And two more by the fabulous Espert (it's been a busy month). Actually I am lying. I got these two in December ;D

Yeah the cactus is my favorite from the travel posters so far as well. That one is by Espert who also designed some of my favorite Mexican film posters.
I recently got a lot of small Mexican travel posters. So my earlier description of "slowly branching into Mexico-related tourism posters" is now decidedly inaccurate.
But first! Guatemala! There is a certain charm to the crude silk-screen printing.

Now for more Mexican ones. Some of these are on thicker cardstock and might be described as window cards? Others are on very thin paper. You can see the HA auction catalogs for scale.
Many of these designs were also printed in one-sheet sizes.

Doesn't seem worth it to create another monthly topic for just one poster, so I'll continue the January thread. I was thrilled to acquire this beauty of a travel poster:

Agree. They are a joy to watch Deke. You should have your own thread :)
