I've always been a big movie guy (I watch 150-200 a year), but I just recently got into posters (I only have 2 at the moment). I've been lurking for a few weeks trying to get a better feel for the hobby, and I thought I might as well go ahead and join. In the past I collected basketball cards, but I'm a little burnt out on that so I decided to transition into posters, so I'm not completely new to collecting (though a 2.5" x 3.5" card is considerably easier to handle/store than a 27"+ X 40"+ poster). I don't really have a real collecting focus as of now, so I just buy what I like. It's my intention to only buy a poster if I really like both the movie, and the poster itself (I'm pretty picky when it comes to both, so I hope that will help to keep my numbers down, but I honestly doubt it will). Anyway, that's about it. I hope to learn a lot more about posters, and I look forward to meeting all of you and hopefully making a few purchases. Thanks for reading!

Welcome to the forum, those Base-ball cards sure are easy to store, but don't look as good on the wall.. ;)

Hi Mr. El Duderino! I'm also new...and, I think your collecting goal of just buying what you like is great. Stick with it. (Of course, I seem to like EVERYTHING, which has gotten me into a lot of trouble. Ha!) Just thought I'd say hello to a fellow newbie. Welcome.
