Title: Willy Wonka
Post by: kovacs01 on April 22, 2010, 07:20:21 AM
After sorting out some ordering issues, this finally showed up today.  It is pretty spectacular in person, and, IMO, trumps all of the Alamo pieces save Goldfinger.  The print quality is like no silkscreen I have ever seen.  The hat and jacket are so think with ink, they are almost embossed.  And you cant tell it in the photo, but the ticket, title, etc are metallic gold.  If I had any complaint, I would say its a little small for my tastes.

I also got this 12 Monkeys done for the Enzian Theater.

Beautiful, Schan.  By the way, did anybody anticipate that Goldfinger would go for ridiculous prices so quickly?  Any chance this could take the same trajectory?

It sold last year for 3k something.  Anyway, I doubt the Willy Wonka approaches that.  The Goldfinger has an entire secondary market of Bond collectors.  Actually, that is probably the primary market with poster collectors being the secondary.
