Can some kindly soul (Mel?) give me (& others) simple instructions on embedding YouTube videos into posts here?
It seems it can be done, but I am too stupid to figure it out.

I've tried to embed videos with no success.
I don't think it is possible on this forum.
One night -- when we had chat -- a few of us were trying different methods and all failed.
Ahhh well...

100% If you follow Mel's pasted instructions they will work.
Failing that PM me the YouTube vid link and I'll put it inside the code and send it back to you so you can see how it's done.

The flash tag provided above (2nd row, first one) puts "200,200" on the video. You need to follow the instructions given above AND change the flash numbers from "200,200" to "640,480" (Thanks to David for explaining in a message to me). So easy a six year old could do it, so you should send out for a 6 year old!
I should be able to do it now (I will cross my fingers)!

It`s nothing to do with your gen..it happened right after I posted my first embed,the box is just smaller now that I halved the size...any ideas?
Could it be something to do with Shockwave? I`ve had a couple of crashes since.

It has only started since I posted my first you tube embed video.
The black square pops up whenever I go into a specific thread,it doesn't`t appear when I log in or when I view the most recent posts etc,it pops up when I view a thread singularly or when I reply to a post..
