Any at all. From the batmobile, to the extra tit in Total Recall. (No, not Colin Farrell)
I'd quite like the polished axe from American Psycho.
Or failing that, obviously the Delorean from BTTF or Monica Bellucci from The Matrix.
-
The Black Bird,
Or one of Bogart's fedoras...
-
the gimp's outfit from PULP FICTION
-
I always wanted 'ziggy' from Quantum Leap... Apparently it is a dressed up game boy if I recall...
-
The wicker man, cept it burnt.
So.....
Oh I dunno, nothing for now thanks,
I guess a hat, like Chris would be a food idea since I wear them, but I prefer a trilby, so to make it perfect, a screen worn trilby used in a film adaption of a Daphne Du Maurier story.
So........ A screen worn trilby worn by Laurence Olivier in Rebbeca.
My favourite hat, worn by a great actor, in a great film, by a great director, from a book by one of my favourite authors, whose father wrote Trilby from which the hat is named, a perfect circle of joy.
Phew.
-
That IS a perfectly joyous circle!
-
The Precious...
Although Big Bang Theory did that one....
Elvira's bra...
-
Audrey Hepburn's LBD from 'Breakfast at Tiffany's", give it to my wife to wear for a pretty spectacular night on the town
-
The banjo from Deliverance.
-
Speaking of props, I see on the net replicas of the book from THE NINTH GATE, I'd like one of these for Xmas, or rather three.

So funny that is one of my tabs and I literally just turned it off not five min ago...

The banjo from Deliverance.
Just kidding. There are a pair of birds that if put in front of me, I am not sure which I would take. The Maltese Falcon, and the owl from Blade Runner. The other 2 I considered were Lt Col Kilgore's surfboard from Apocalypse Now and the harmonica from Once Upon a Time in the West. But both of those would just look like a regular surfboard or harmonica unless you knew what they were.
As far as movie vehicles, there are at least 3 I would take before the Delorean. The Interceptor from Mad Max, the covered wagon with colt 1872 gatling gun from The Outlaw Josey Wales, and probably first among them, the boat from Waterworld.
-
Fertility idol from Raiders of the Lost Ark.
-
Amanda Donahoe's strap-on from LAIR OF THE WHITE WORM.
-
Like Chris, the Black bird, but if not I'd have Caroline's Boots from Dracula A.D. 1972... ;)

That's good one.
Love the scene where he's on the top of the mast and the camera pans out.
Great shot.

Why not get a shit that Kevin did while on set of water world. It would be more suitable as memorabilia.

Ooh ooh; a staff or Ra medallion from Stargate. Duh!

Awesome.
I had forgotten that Spielberg owned Rosebud.
That is one hell of a sled!!!

He actually owns #3 of 4. 3 and 4 were not used in the movie. I believe 1 and 2 were destroyed. Can't remember what happened to 4.

Sled of 'Citizen Kane' Brings $60,500
Published: June 11, 1982
Rosebud, the sled made for Orson Welles's classic 1941 film ''Citizen Kane,'' was bought Wednesday afternoon by Steven Spielberg, the director-producer, for $55,000 at Sotheby Park Bernet.
The addition of the 10 percent buyer's fee made the total price $60,500.
The sled, one of three balsa versions made for the final scene of the movie, is the only one that survived the filming. The other two were burned in filming a scene in which a workman tosses the sled into a furnace.
Describing ''Citizen Kane'' as ''the most classic movie ever made,'' Mr. Spielberg, who bid by telephone from Los Angeles, said the sled was ''a symbolic emblem of quality in the film business.''

What's $60,000 in 2013 dollars?
And only a 10% buyer's fee. ;)

Of course now it would be auctioned as coming from the Steven Spielberg collection - the association with Citizen Kane would be the lesser enticement
With a 20% BP...

Y'know, I nearly had that face mask.
Back when the film premiered on VHS, I was at the VSDA show in Las Vegas and they wheeled Hopkins in with the mask on.
When he took it off, it was laid on a table while we interviewed him.
I was within arm's reach of it and I couldn't take my eyes off it.
I thought for a second about smuggling it out in my jacket, but my conscience got the better of me.

Sadly, if that suit was latex I bet is turned to dust by now...

I wonder how many suits were made over the years for the different movies?
And think of the strain, wear and tear, too, from all the fighting/battling sequences, or even just the actor's movement. Tough on rubber, no matter how thick it was originally cast and molded.
Would be so cool if this had been kept and even tried to be preserved somewhere. Even if the head was around, as at least some part was kept for film posterity (if the filmmakers even considered that). ;)
-
This maybe good for a quick read.
This is one movie prop/costume I'd love to own....

didn't see this thread before, but the answer to how many suits were made is that there was a new suit made for each Godzilla film, with the exception of Ghidrah the Three Headed Monster (it was filmed only a few months after Godzilla vs. the Thing and slight repairs were made to that suit for filming).
Unfortunately, at that time, Toho didn't properly care for any of the suits after filming and it is pretty well documented that they would keep some in a storage shed and what didn't fit in there was left outside the shed to rot in the weather. The head of Godzilla from the 1966 film, Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster still survives, as well as a complete outfit of MechaGodzilla from Terror of MechaGodzilla, and thankfully many smaller puppets and props (including spaceships, guns, military vehicles, and the like) from the Showa era still survive.
For the 90s and newer films, an effort is made to save the heads from a majority of the costumes and recasts from suit molds are made of stronger materials for some of the museum displays that Toho helps sponsor.
-
Thanks for the info, Sean.
Man, that photo you posted almost looks like a slaughterhouse pic. Godzilla ready to be bled and then cut into steaks and chops. :'(
What a shame (but like so many cases) where costumes and props from flicks were not properly stored or cared for, because, like any new movie (which hasnt reached some status yet, financially, or as a hit with audiences), the items are sometimes carelessly stored on a shelf, in a box or, in this case, in the outdoor elements, only to be lost to them. The costumes/props are not seen as iconic or worthy of saving, at the time of a film's actual production.
And props are often cheaply made. They look good on film, but their construction is often made with lesser materials, like foam, lightweight wood, etc, but then finished to look like metal, marble, oak, etc.

I was thinking about the chandelier, but that's too big for my place.
I'd have to go with something I could easily slip into my pocket, like the heart of the ocean from "Titanic."

We vacationed in Maine last year, flying into Bangor, King's home. I found a memorabilia shop there dedicated to King's movies. He had one of several actual axes used in the movie and let me hold it. No fake prop - it was real, and very heavy. The Steven King tour there is fun as well - lots of locations used by King in his stories, his first humble home, and his more not so humble present one.
