Today the forum isn't loading properly for me, the seperate threads are spaced apart a loooooong way, so only two or three fit on a page.
Also the reply button doesn't load. If toy look a my last few replies I have quoted, this is because I get the insert quote button, but not the reply.
Now it could be just me as I also installed an OS update today. But all other sites are working as usual.

I'm trying to post in the how do you collect thread and get this error. I've been trying since yesterday, no matter what I do, this is what I get. Any clues?
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@allposterforum.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I've had that happen a few times.
I closed the tab and opened a new one. Fixed.

Thanks, but tried, restarted, etc, it's only that thread though.

Try all the old tricks:
- close & restart browser,
- clear the browser cache: (keep your logins though)
- restart computer
Then try some more serious options:
- try disabling the plugins for the browser
- check using another browser eg firefox, opera, IE if the site works as expected
- if it works ok on another browser, try to uninstall the faulty browser and reinstall it.
Still no luck:
- send an email to the owner of problematic website and gives them a piece of you mind
- find a fightclub thread and let it all out
Still no luck there:
- sit back and remember the happy times on APF before it went pear shaped, when you could use it

maybe what you are posting in that thread has some strange characters. maybe try posting a test post then deleting
post instead in the posterazzi thread to change the subject

I came to the conclusion that the story about how I collect is so boring that even the Internet can't handle it. Quite an achievement when you think about it.

No, you don't. I have had trouble in the past with particular characters in a post, especially when I cut and paste something. Try posting a one word response to the thread. When that is successful, edit the response and retype what you wanted to say. Finally try pasting in any url you were trying to include. That generally works for me.

Trouble is I wrote a really long, detailed, interesting, well worded, exciting, and inspired post.
And I only do that once a year.

This happens to me every Sunday morning, when I try to post a reminder about my auctions closing that afternoon.
I found as a workaround that I can do similar to what Jay said, posting one word and then modifying it with one or two sentences.
But I have done much experimentation with this (because it is so frustrating!) and I feel certain it has to do with the host and not what I am posting (and since in my case it only happens Sunday mornings, it would seem likely that they are re-starting or re-setting something during that time).

Hey Steve.. I tried it, too (on my mac) just now (and Ive used your youtube generator before, but it's been a while). After plugging in a youtube URL into your gen, instead of your site giving the code, a small window opened up, asking me if i wanted to download a flash file.
Here's what i see, after I hit the "generate code" button. I tried it a few times too. What do you think is making it show this?

I've come back an hour after seeing the error you posted (was waxing the car) and the code seems to be again working. Maybe the hosts were upgrading the server or something.

My preview function for posting thread responses on the board has not been working for about 4-5 days now. Whenever i hit "preview," it says "fetching preview..." but it never shows.
But the preview function when doing PMs has always been working fine (for me), so Im not sure what the deal is.
Does your PM preview work?
