I think anything above $50 for any posters from the past 20 years is ridiculous. But that's me. I'm a cheap bastard.
T
This will only encourage the bootleggers to reprint this poster.
Here's something that doesn't make any sense to me...
This Batman Begins (http://auctions.emovieposter.com/Bidding.taf?_function=detail&Auction_uid1=2633840) poster sells for $110 (what-ever!)...
...while this much, much rarer international Batman Returns (http://auctions.emovieposter.com/Bidding.taf?_function=detail&Auction_uid1=2633841) (which only exists SS) sells for $22.
I already own a couple of the international Batman Returns, so I didn't pay attention to the sale. Had I known, I would have bought a 3rd one.
There is a very easy answer. One is the best poster for a quality film by a top director at or near the peak of his popularity. The other is a mildly interesting, if somewhat odd, collage for a nearly good film from a director clearly on the wane.
That Batman Begins advance is the best poster of the whole trilogy. I wish I would have kept more than what I did.
I wish I would have kept more than what I did.
Thing is though the U.S. advance of BB is quite common and in no way should be going for over $100. The International advance "cave poster" is much rarer and I seldom see this one for anything less than $200.

I havent found it at the right price yet.
Yeah, $250 seems right for this poster.
I'm not looking for it since I already own it, but I can guarantee you that if I was I would find it for less than $250. Maybe not today, but at some point in my adventure.
;)

I assume you are talking about the one on the right.

Yes I am Batcrap crazy.
This was/is the one on the want list that has eluded me. I havent found it at the right price yet.
I would also now want that new DKR Imax poster...
I found the Joker B1 for about $80 about a month ago but it had pin holes in the corner so I passed. That would seem to be a stupid decision retrospectively :(
I just picked up one of the DKR IMAX posters for $175 :(
Are they lightboxes?
The international looks great in that frame.
Yeah, it's expensive, but those posters might eventually disappear and the influx of reprints might make it harder to find a real one. So you might have been right to get one now.

I do hope that like you said the supply dries up though and it was a good purchase.
F U moron1 ;)
LOL .. Sorry :-[ :-*
I guess you don't realise but you're posting images of fan made posters. There is a huge thread on Superherohype.com dedicated to fan made posters for all the Nolan Batman films. It seems quite a few end up as reprints on ebay and to be fair, some are pretty well done.
The pic itself is not very but they are regular non glare Hollywood Poster frames from Sue.
I believe they are both international . Which one are you talking about?
Sweet buncha bats you and T have there.
No wonder some of these are so darn difficult to find.

Are you talking about this one?
Mine is an original Italian vinyl banner. It measures 47x67in.
T
BTW, I really like the title Il Cavaliere Obscuro. It adds to the design, I think.
Its an unlicensed "fake" litho.. It measures 24x40 and is SS. Lots of drama surrounding that poster, The artwork was said to have only been used on banners. I got it for the awesomely low low price of something like $200 !! :)
hence my addition to the "sellers to avoid" thread.
HG, the only real ones i have seen are no US, i believe german orgin
Very nice collections.
My Dark Knight's are the usual ones.
I would love to get the one with the joker standing with his back to us.
Anyone, anyone?
HG, the only real ones i have seen are no US, i believe german orgin
Yes the German ones are smaller though. Not 27x40.
That one was only released as a British banner, however, my friend just custom printed one (27x40) that he sent me and it arrived today. Haven't opened it yet because I'm at work but he says the quality is phenomenal. I can't wait to see it. Also can't wait to get the shooting Joker one-sheet from you. Looking forward to it.
I thought it was an international advance given the fact that it has the coming soon at the bottom.
I don't remember seeing it with the German posters although i know their releases were different from the rest of the world.
You should post a photo when you open it. I'd like to see it.
Also you can let me know what you think of mine when you get it. Honest opinions are always welcome. ;D
(Ones that distort the truth and make things sound like something that never happened, aren't welcome at all :-X )
Here it is. It's the textless version of it which is what we both decided we liked better. The quality is really good. Will look awesome framed. It's 27 x 40"
