One of my great collecting interests in recent years have been Mexican fantasy posters from the 60's! Here are a few of mine, please share yours...

They all sure look great backed and preserved

Mighty juicy stuff ya got there. I have wanted an El Baron del Terror for a long time. A great hairy turkey butt and the middle gal is casting one hungry look in its direction :D
-
There's nothing quite like a Mexican poster...especially for lurid titles like those.
Beautiful, Rumble...absolutely beautiful.
clap clap clap clap
I wish I could add something to this thread, but I only have a handful of LCs.
I do have my sights on a few cheaper Cabrals...soon, maybe...

These are some great looking and far out posters, rumble... as well as great backing and conservation by Dario. He did your Mexican posters proud! thumbup

Wow, the posters so far are some of the best Mexican posters out there. Hopefully somebody has EL VAMPIRO they can post! I have SANTO EN EL HOTEL DE LA MUERTE as well and it's amazing. I only have one other Mexican movie poster, but tons of lobby cards.

Good looking stuff! thumbsup.gif
EL BARON DEL TERROR has been on my must have list for years now. I still kick myself for passing up a EL VAMPIRO a few years back, but finally got the Belgian version and one of the Mexican lobby cards. The hunt never ends.

They do look a wild bunch of art pieces.
As an aside, I do wonder at the sense of the Mexican lobby card. Around 75% of the card acreage is identical to every other card in the set and only 1/4 of the space changes with a (usually) b/w still.
To exemplify all that is marketable in the movie, why weren't those stats reversed so that 1/4 is static, and the remaining 75% changes with something colourful?
Always found this to be curious...

I am also infected with Mexican madness. Though I gravitate more towards western/ranchero, crime/noir, & caricature posters rather than horror/fantasy/SF.
Here is one example:

Great posters. Love the Mexican BAtman poster. I have about three linen backed Mexican posters somewhere. If I can dig them out and photograph them I will post on here.

And shifting genre threads.

This is one of my rarest Mexican cards. Though Bettie is all over the painted portion, there's only 1 out of the set of 8 that has an inset picture of her.

Great art Jeff and all,we really need more hand drawn artwork in our collection.
-
Thanks, AFO.
I also think the hand created art is wunderbahr. Cobbling and photoshopping digital pix together seems much easier, by comparison. ;)

Great poster!
