Title: License to Kill British Quad
Post by: javi82fpf on January 22, 2021, 03:26:26 PM
I recently bought this Quad off the bay. Let me first say that I don't have any other 80s era BQs, so I don't know what the paper is supposed to feel like for this era. But it feels weird to me. Back is fairly rough. The dimensions measure out OK. Small text in lower right is clear.

There are also some weird, thin, not quite vertical lines (one of which is cyan) that are visible in the lower border and extend through the whole image. The 007 feels raised when running finger over it compared to rest of image. I don't know really know much about poster printing techniques to know if any of these signs is indicative of a fake or reprint.

Hi,

I am aware there is a normally folded, glossy version of this poster and, from memory, also a matt version which I have seen rolled.

I also think the reverse may have had a blue tint to it, which sounds very suspect.  But this was from back in the appropriate time of the movie's release.  As to why this version came to be, I cannot say.

I do not remember any vertical lines in the copy I saw.
