I know the poster designer Akiko Stehrenberger has her fans on the forum (I am one of them). There is a new book of her poster art being published later in the year by Hat & Beard Press in Los Angeles. It's on pre-order for $50 (plus shipping) via their website:

Hi Mardukas, Do we live in the same world? I had not heard of Akiko before your post! She's very talented. Thanks for pointing her out. Okie

Welcome to your new world that includes Akiko. I have three of her posters/commissions and love them.

Hey Okie,
Akiko is fantastic. One of the best contemporary designers out there in my humble opinion. You can see more of her work at her website:

Enjoy!

Thanks for the link, Mardukas. She's versatile from the images on her website, eh? I was comparing her work on the W.E. Madonna film art vs. Deadpool 2, for instance. Okie

For sure, she has a nice range and mix of styles.
Her sheet for Michael Haneke's Funny Games was voted by MUBI as the movie poster of the decade back in 2009, which is again quite different from a lot of her other stuff.
I'm a particular fan of her portraits -- of Dennis Hopper for Along For The Ride, for example, and the the painting she did for the movie Donald Cried.
