Title: Anyone know anything about this one? 1933 Chicago Worlds Fair
Post by: Undead on December 18, 2017, 12:25:03 PM
Came across this one and liked this image but had never seen it before as a poster.

Anyone know anything about it? I could only find one sale for a smaller one, 14" x 21" at $2.4k in 2007 and nothing through HA or Bruce. Seems there are two sizes, one roughly window card size and one roughly one sheet size at about 28" x 42". Did find a lot of flyers and post cards that use the image mostly in black and white just nothing really about the poster, usage, rarity, etc. other than the artist is apparently George Getty and it was the winning entry in a poster design contest for the fair.

Thanks

Thanks for sharing. From what little i have read it sounds like the one was a good deal but will wait to see it in person before making that judgement official.
