Title: Hello - Newbie Political/Military Poster Collector

Hello,

I am so glad this this forum exists! I'm new to the hobby and have taken to begin to collect vintage political and military posters. I work in the public policy realm and have always been fascinated with the power of pictures and propoganda.

However, I'm beginning to spend a little more money and figured it's probably the right time to learn about how to take care of my things (framing, backing, etc.)

For example, here is my most recent purchase http://m.ebay.com/itm/201889183074. Normally, I'd swing by a big box retailer and just grab a frame, but I'm gathering that may not be the right approach.

Neat looking poster you got there and you will find a Propaganda Board here on the forum.. so you are in good company.

do not use glass. glass transfers heat to the paper & dries it out
on plexi, I prefer clear. I think anti-glare surfacing makes it more difficult to see the poster (creating a smoke cloud over the image, if you understand my meaning

Nice poster KC!

I'm very intrigued by War/propaganda posters, and you've got a great poster there.

I collect Mexican propaganda posters (and other Mexican posters). I'd love to see your war and propaganda posters too!
