Title: Buying Posters in Japan

I recently did some research on japanese online platforms. Unfortunately inquiryand terms&conditins are not easy. There exist several assistance services to help non-japanese buyers with the handling. Most of them unfortunately offer their service primarily for electronic gear and fashion but exclude art. Did anyone of you sucessfully buy a poster in Japan?

Buying posters *in* Japan is not so difficult. You can go to Nakano Broadway where there are still a few shops, including a fairly new and well-organized Mandarake one. There is also on in Jinbocho.

Buying from outside is harder, unless you have good connections or know Japanese, or at least know exactly what you want. eBay, eMovieposter etc. may be the best option.

movieposter-japan! on Ebay is terrific. The packaging can't be beat.

I see that some of the Japanese ebay sellers have raised their shipping cost to $23.00 USD (and that's for even for just one B2 size poster). Gotta love those increasing shipping fees.  :-\

Maybe this is the revised/adjusted, low standard mailing rate for 2018?
