Title: Modern subway posters?

Just wondering about current subway posters. I placed an order a long while ago. they are large sized, slightly over a 40x60" poster size, but they appear to be a thick vinyl/decal? Is that normal for original subway posters? The backing can be removed so they can be adhered to something?

That's normal for a modern subway/transit poster. I have a few from the last 10 years or so, some with and some without the self adhesive backing.
