Just got a couple of Italians Linenbacked. Here is my 55"x78" Massive Abbott and Costello Meet the Killer poster. I still have to upload the others. I had 3 done at the same time.
I also want to shout out to Jeff(Erik1925) For helping me get some info relating to the poster as it was hard to get information regarding it and restorers having a tough time finding images as well.

Wow, Mike, that is beautiful!
Are you putting that beast up on the walls?
-
I would really like to but I would have to get a custom frame, I am in Canada so the costs to even get a frame from the US is gonna be expensive with the rate and shipping, etc.

Mike, once again, it looks outstanding! notworthy.gif
That restore job is top notch!
Dan did a really nice job.

Mike, could you post that pic of the restored, right corner that had the missing info?
-
Uploading for Mike. The restored info was based on looking up the release date and other Italian posters that had this same type of info printed onto posters this way. Only the last bit of information was missing ("in data 20-2-50") so it's going up at a slight angle to follow the line of text that was already there.
Dan did a great job on this, imho. thumbsup.gif

I want to thank all of you for your comments.
As for framing a large poster, we can shrink wrap frame a poster as large as an Italian 4 foglio. We just shrink wrapped a Batman from 1966 for a client in Toronto. The only hitch is you have to be able to pick it up. I used to think this was only a service for collectors in the Greater Toronto Area, but we shrink wrap framed two 3 sheets for a client in Maryland and he drove up here and picked them up. We also shrink wrap framed 12 one sheets for a client in New York City and he drove up and picked them up.
As far as I know, we are the only firm in North America offering shrink wrap framing and it is a hell of a lot cheaper than standard frames, they are durable, and perhaps most importantly for the large posters, they are lite.
I tried to attach a photo of the Batman shrink wrapped, but I haven't mastered that yet. Email me and I will send the photo... backingtothefuture@gmail.com.
Cheers, Dan Miles, Backingtothefuture.
