Stew, the Mummy has had a slight trim off the top, but is the first release. Not sure what you need to know?
-
Generally country of origin..the ad is rather vague and is not on the bay....
Is it a Belgian? Fair price?
The quiet man,i would just like a guide price...just a decent guesstimate..

Yes it's Belgian, looks to be right for a first release, you need to get info ( writing ) off the bottom of the poster. Price £60-100.
-
The Quite man looks right for a first release, Around £250-300 ?
-
Thanks again Paul..

Price is 15.....even if its trimmed,,would you think its worth it?

It's the writing on the bottom Stew, but at £15 I would snap his hand off.
-
Will do Paul.. the Quiet Man..all it says in the ad is 6ft x6ft approx in two halfs..£185.
Looks original to my limted knowledge..

Is this the one that is pasted to two boards?? If so leave well alone.
-
Paul ad says..
LIFE-SIZE POSTER (about 6ft x 6ft) - in 2 parts, mounted on card. Says made in U.S.A. and probably sent to the UK in 1952 for the launch of John Wayne's film The Quiet Man;.
Same one?

It is the one I saw, and thought better of it as I didn't like it being stuck to something. So the Price is your call. I think it's too much for a poster stuck to Card, or board!!
-
Just my opinion, but...
As long as the "Mummy" doesn't have "Printed in Belgium" (in english) at the bottom you're good, if not, at that price, snap it up. Can't go wrong.
"Quiet Man" seems to be a 6 sheet, being on cards might actually be a reasonable thing to put up with if you knew how it was glued on, and if they used acid neutral card stock. Wouldn't want any of that leaching through. "QM" stuff seems to be very plentiful and surprisingly cheap. I think Wayne fans (if there are any left) don't like it because it's not a western. The re-releases are plentiful as well. Honestly, and imho again, wouldn't pay over $75 without knowing more about its backing. [Edit: 'Cause I'm a cheap bastid].

Thanks Peter too..
I dont have any other photos of this one just now.
Why would Printed in belgium be off putting?(english)..
Would this info have to be printed in French to be original??

Exactly.
