Cool article about the closed Windsor Theater (built in 1925) in Adelaide, and the movie posters glued to the interior hallways and box office. The mayor there is hoping someone will come in to try and remove and preserve the posters, if possible. Some look water- or glue stained on their surfaces, but hopefully, those can be repaired.

way too much effort for the value that is there.
Even trying to save Deliverance is probably too much work

Plus, some of the posters almost look like they have a clear coat (Varathane or something similar) on them, too.
-
As they are Australian posters some could be hard to find elsewhere so hopefully those can be saved

Hopefully, someone will give it the "old college try" and rescue some of them, if not too difficult (or permanently adhered or varnished over). prayer.gif

I'm surprised by how many cinemas still do this but they do! There's a few in London and it's a bit cringe.

Not pasted over like the Adelaide theater, but stuck/pinned on top of each other there are a few! The Curzon Soho immediately comes to mind.

Thanks, I know the Curzon Soho but I couldn't recall any London cinemas with an "Adelaide" poster display.
