How do you store/flatten your larger posters? Referring to the Italian sheets and Thierry hates "Thierry hates "French Grande"" posters?
Besides folded... Trying to flatten them to get rid of the fold lines...

Mike, once you had them flattened (perhaps pressed between sheets of foam core, with even, weight on top, like books, along with time to relax the folds), do you then have an area large enough where you could keep/store large Italians and French 1Ps unfolded that way?

Italians yes. Thierry hates "French Grande"st is going to be a bit harder. What would you use to separate the posters? Or 40x60 poly sleeves from uhaul?

So this would be a way of permanently storing them unfolded? Poly sleeves could be used to separate, or if you could find acid free paper in a small roll, maybe 40" wide x 25' or 30' long (or longer, if wanted) and then cut the paper to length, that might be more cost effective than buying sleeves to act simply as separating elements.
Just a thought, of course. :)

I found acid free glassine paper 60" wide. Would be cheaper than the poly, but might be about the same if you include me time to cut them into sheets. If that would work. How is glassine vs tissue paper?

Acid free tissue paper could work, too. Can it be found in that size width and in a roll, too? If so, I'm guessing it would be cheaper than glassine paper? I dont know for sure, though. hmmm.gif

I'm in Canada. So some stuff is harder to find or more expensive to import them. I'll search to find the acid free tissue. Thanks for the input Jeff!

Mike, I found this one site doing a quick search.
Their widest, buffered tissue paper roll is 40" wide but is 1000' long. Cost is $91.65 USD. Narrower sizes are also available.

That's actually pretty good. ThAnks Jeff! I wonder what shipping costs would be. Then I would need something larger enough to cover the Thierry hates "French Grande"s.

This site has rolls of acid fee glassine paper, up to 60" wide x 100 yards long.... good for the big Frenchies :)

Hmm.. i just saw that too, Mike. Not sure why. This site talks about acid free materials, in general, as well as other storage materials and also mentions that if glassine is used, it should be changed periodically:

smaller posters (one sheets or less) in the drawers of my cabinets are each separated by a plastic bag (poster opened flat, one sheet bag on top, poster flat, one sheet bag etc).
you can of course use archival paper as a separator or a cardboard. Or prefer the plastic bag
also, this subject has been discusssed repeatedly. you should be able to find them with a search. Or jeff can find them more easily (the search function here..... sucks)
