Movie Posters - Latest Acquisitions / Re: April before it's gone.

In the very early 1980s, I and a couple of friends got to spend some time with Christopher Reeve one day on the street in New York City. Reeve was there for the protests/rally against what was ultimately the demolition of the old Helen Hayes Theatre.  Reeve was very kind to us teenagers all those years ago for letting us hang out with him.

Okie

What a wonderful memory that must be Okie.

Koisokok: Nice going big on Good, Bad, and Ugly! I like these big posters.  Okie

Morphine: Congratulations on buying some cool posters locally!  I've always liked the Somewhere in Time image and movie.

That's a nice story, thanks for sharing Okie.  Somewhere in Time is a lovely movie, I haven't seen it in over 30 years, maybe time to revisit it.

I just saw how extremely low the prices are on many of my company's (eMoviePoster.com's) 1,612 flat items of all kinds (including 56 "oversized" ones, and 154 "signed" ones) that will begin closing in just a few hours TODAY beginning at 7 PM CST TUESDAY at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/13.html

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY ONE OF OUR VERY BEST "REGULAR" SETS OF AUCTIONS EVER (no brag, just fact), AND YOU REALLY DON'T WANT TO MISS IT, BECAUSE IT IS FILLED WITH VERY DESIRABLE ITEMS AND EXTREME RARITIES!

Note that some people feel these last minute reminder emails are "too long", or have "too much information", and if YOU feel this way, then please stop reading this now, and simply go to the above link right now and look over these 1,612 items that will begin closing later TODAY! Thanks and best of luck on whatever you are bidding on!

HOWEVER, IF YOU DON'T MIND READING MORE, PLEASE DO READ ON, because there is much useful and helpful information below!

If you are fairly new to this hobby, you may be very surprised to learn that the price levels of vintage movie paper (and related items) is FAR lower than that of ANY other collectible these days! One quick look at the current bid prices on the 1,612 auctions closing in hours at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/13.html proves that beyond a shadow of a doubt!

DO YOU LIKE TO GET REALLY GREAT "DEALS"? Then you will surely want to closely look over these 1,612 flat items of all kinds (including 56 "oversized" ones, and 154 "signed" ones), because currently, with 12 hours left (as of this writing) until these start to close, there are TWO HUNDRED THIRTEEN of these at just FIVE DOLLARS each or under, FOUR HUNDRED THIRTY FOUR at just TEN DOLLARS each or under, and a whopping SEVEN HUNDRED TWENTY ONE at just TWENTY DOLLARS each or under (and that is FORTY FIVE PERCENT of the auctions)! And you know just as well as I do that a $20 bill buys a fraction of what it did five or ten years ago, but many of these items are currently at prices similar to what they were ten or twenty YEARS ago!

And remember: WE are the only major auction with NONE of those awful 20% OR 25% "buyers premiums" (and one auction's "minimum buyers premium" is a truly INSANE $29, meaning they will never sell any item for under $30 AND that their poor consignors RECEIVE pennies from a $30 sale).

It is not just the lowest priced ones ending in HOURS that represent exceptional values, as there are items at every price level that are far under where the same (or similar) items have sold for before, and these make great unique gifts (for yourself or others) that don't have to cost you an arm and a leg, so please start checking them out now!

And when I say "unique" I am not exaggerating by very much! A LOT of these items ARE super rare. AND NOW YOU CAN TELL WHICH ARE THE MOST RARE ITEMS VERY QUICKLY! How? We have now COMPLETELY implemented our title designations of "ultra rare" and "rare" In all three sets of auctions!

If we have never auctioned the item before (or only once before) we ALWAYS put "ultra rare" in the auction title, and we never put it in the title if we auctioned it two or more times. Similarly, in all three sets of auctions, if we have only auctioned the item exactly two or three times before we ALWAYS put "rare" in the auction title, and we never put it in the title if we auctioned it four or more times.

AND WE NOW HAVE SEARCH FILTERS THAT (with one click) LET YOU VIEW SOLELY THE "ULTRA RARE" ITEMS (or solely the "ultra rare" AND "rare" items) EACH IN A SINGLE GALLERY! AND THERE ARE DIRECT LINKS TO BOTH GALLERIES AT THE TOP OF OUR SEARCH FILTER LIST (located at the top left of each gallery, right below where it says "Posters by Type").

Of course if you are a collector who doesn't much care about rarity you never have to use the above filters, but if you DO care, this is a really wonderful addition! Something important to note is that this ONLY tells you how many times WE auctioned the item, NOT how many exist. And of course this means that the very first time we auction ANYTHING (even a brand new 2024 poster!) it will initially be listed as "ultra rare". This is just a limitation of the system, and you just have to accept it. And we ARE human, and CAN make a mistake, and if we do, just email us and we will fix it ASAP!

Because our "every four week auctions" combine all different types of items into one auction, there are a number of groups of items very worthy of special mention:

SPECIAL AND UNUSUAL! This time only, we have FIFTY SIX cool and unusual "very oversized" and "oversized" items at the very start of the auctions! All these need to be sent in large (or very large) flat packages, and they include a LOT of ultra-scarce items, including 5 HALF-SHEETS, 5 JUMBO WINDOW CARDS, and 2 2 INSERTS are paperbacked or gelbacked (or unbacked, but fragile) and need to be shipped in large flat packages!

See them by going to this link, https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/1/13.html and looking at the first 56 items, or use the chart below to better find ones of interest to you:
ALL OF THE FOLLOWING SHIP IN VERY OVERSIZED FLAT PACKAGES FOR THE ACTUAL COST OF SENDING (+ $4 FOR PACKING MATERIALS, PER BOX)
6j0001-6j0014 insert, half-sheet, jumbo WC, six-sheet
6j0015-6j0028 Misc that ships flat, oversize still set

ALL OF THE FOLLOWING SHIP IN THREE DIMENSIONAL BOXES (SOME VERY OVERSIZED AS WELL) FOR THE ACTUAL COST OF SENDING (+ $4 FOR PACKING MATERIALS, PER BOX)
6j0029-6j0049 all kinds of cool stuff!

ALL OF THE FOLLOWING SHIP IN OVERSIZED FLAT PACKAGES FOR THE ACTUAL COST OF SENDING (+ $4 FOR PACKING MATERIALS, PER BOX)

MORE SPECIAL AND UNUSUAL! This time only, we have ONE HUNDRED FIFTY THREE "personally signed" items at https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/tag/extra%253Asigned/13.html These include some REALLY excellent ones, ones you might expect to see in a "major" auction! One of these is a script from Charley Varrick that is the screenwriters own copy, and which has 11 autographed cards and papers attached to the first three interior blank pages, as well as two loose index cards, all signed by people who made this movie!

EXTRA SPECIAL AND UNUSUAL! This time only, we have SIX one-of-a-kind original costume drawings at https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/tag/xtype%253Aconcept%2520art/13.html These are the actual originals the costume designers hand drew, and they are beautiful!

In August of 2023, we auctioned five costume drawings, all from different movies than the current six, and those five auctioned for between $1,650 and $122, and we are currently auctioning five by Edward Stevenson, and one by Olga Kruchinina and these are similar in quality to those previous five, but are mostly currently at much lower prices!

FINAL SPECIAL AND UNUSUAL! This time only, we have an excellent selection of TWENTY NINE mini window cards ( with many titles you NEVER see!) at https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/tag/xtype%253Amini%2520window%2520card/13.html These were collected by one man decades ago, and we hardly ever get to offer any number of this very rare size at one time, but this time we have 29!

If you like to buy BIG posters (especially for really LITTLE prices!), please be sure to check out our ELEVEN three-sheets at https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/tag/xtype%253Athree-sheet/13.html and SIX six-sheets at https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/tag/xtype%253Asix-sheet/13.html a A number of these are ultra-rare ones (some from the 1940s and earlier!) you may not see offered again for quite a while, if ever!

There is a fine selection of FIVE HUNDRED TWO folded one-sheet auctions at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/tag/xtype:one-sheet/13.html  These cover a very wide range of years, stars and genres, and truly there is "something" for EVERY movie paper collector! THEY INCLUDE MANY EXCELLENT ONES, including many REALLY desirable and rare titles (including some that COULD have been in our major auction)!

There is also an truly wondrous selection of THREE HUNDRED TWENTY THREE vintage 8" x 10" stills (186 singles, plus 137 sets of stills with 2 to 88 stills in each) at https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/tag/xtype%253A8x10%2520still/13.html. Know that these include a LOT of REALLY great ones with 126 from the 1930s, and the rest pretty evenly spread from the 1940s to the 1960s, with twelve rare ones from the 1910s and 1920s.

AND INCLUDED THIS TIME IS A COLLECTION OF FORTY FOUR vintage heralds AT https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/tag/xtype%253Aherald/13.html

Where did these heralds come from? We were recently consigned a wonderful collection of heralds. We auctioned the first 30 from this collection (the very best ones) in our recent April Major Auction. We will auction more from this collection every four weeks until they are all sold!

There is also a great selection of THREE HUNDRED SIXTY SEVEN lobby card auctions at https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/tag/xtype%253Alobby%2520card/13.html (a truly remarkable selection of 126 singles, 103 complete sets, and 95 incomplete sets!). These include lots of rare singles from the 1920s to the 1940s PLUS lots of complete sets pretty evenly spread from titles of the 1940s to the 1960s! As of right now, most of the complete sets are at insanely low prices! You may be able to buy the entire set for around what you might have paid for the two best cards!

Use the above links to go directly to galleries of just those sizes, and you can easily find other types of interest to you, by using our great Search Filters (located to the left of each of our galleries) if you are wanting to quickly see all we are auctioning on a particular star, genre, decade or whatever!

So if you want to quickly see solely the selection of THIRTY NINE items from James Bond movies, then all you have to do is click on the Search Filter that says "James Bond", and it will take you to those 39 auctions at https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/tag/special%253AJames%2520Bond%2520007/13.html (and of course the same works for the excellent 25 auctions of Star Wars items at https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/searchfield/title/tag/special:Star%2520Wars/13.html )!

Using our Search Filters will make your time spent looking at our auctions FAR more productive, and it helps make certain you don't miss any items of interest to you!

Best of luck to every one of you who bids on any of these 1,612 flat items of all kinds (including 56 "oversized" ones, and 154 "signed" ones), closing in a few hours, starting at 7 PM CT at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/13.html

It is a wonderful photo, Redman!  Okie

1938, available to bid on now at everybody's favourite poster auction site

Death Toilet and Night Runner seem to belong together in title, though perhaps not in budget?!  Monster, you are amazing in what poster images you find! It is interesting to me that many of these low budget films have actual art that was done for the posters.  How cool is that?! Peace, and long life, my friend.  Okie

Did you happen to win that fun art, Tang Lung?  Batman's 85th Anniversary this year!  Okie

Hi Neo,

I remember our kids grabbing a few of these postcard size giveaways a couple of times for movies at the theatre near us, too. We don't always get cool items like these in small town America, so cool to see yours.  Okie
