I am starting to work through taking pics and the 1st suitcase (YES SUITCASE) I came across was one of special items I put aside to keep for various reasons, so heres a start of my personal collection. More to come (haven't started looking in Hammer collection yet).
Sorry for any bad pics, but as they really aren't for sale I can't be bothered going back and redoing. SAYING THAT some I would sell, and a few I have doubles of, so feel free to ask.
I will start with a selection of Val Lewton items (more to come when i find them)

No wonder it's so hard to find the good Polish posters...you cornered the market on the best designs.
Those Alamo artists should look to this one for inspiration.
What a great image.
cheers
-
the silver on this is metallic, its glossy, so not REALLY my usual taste, but it works.

As some may know, and some may laugh at, I am a big fan of the films of Ted V Mikels, while I was lucky enough to make a movie with him, as you can imagine while at his studios, I also was lucky enough to scour through years/decades of boxes to find treasures of paper. Also ebay helped with some of these items. This is a start, LOTS more to follow, if you all can handle what is the Aussie TVM collection.

Trully offal Ari ;)
-
Believe it or not I have also been in a movie with Ted V Mikels, even if his scenes were filmed in US, mine in Aus.
There are some terrific posters there Ari.
I didn't realise Agent for HARM was Ted's?
-
Rick, do tell? was it Astro Zombies 4?
re AGENT FOR HARM, he worked on it, didn't direct or produce it?
-
Dead Country - Ted did insert shots from the US, i was `Slaughter Claus' in locally filmed stuff. How the `director' managted to get Ted and a few other `names' for what appears to be a no-budget film (even though he says it had a $1m budget) was beyond my range of thinking.
-
HAHA, nah he is a true gent, I know he has done similar things for others.
Oh I see Lloyd Kaufman also..
Here he is making me a "Manhattan" and then me drinking it, in his amazing house, note also Brinke Stevens.

"To my very dear failure Ari..."
Only a real friend could say this as a compliment ! ;)

-
Diggin' the Ted Mikels collection, Ari.
Especially those toga party lobby cards from BLOOD ORGY OF THE SHE-DEVIL....
Very jealous.
I only have one Mikels poster...this shabby teaser...
-
I used to have that poster (also rolled) had to sell it during a time when bills weighed more than posters. its awsome. Actually ted "ruined" that film, (not my words), it was already made when he got involved and he re-edited it, taking out some of the best (see goriest) bits by all accounts.
-
First rate Ari, The Ted.V.Mikels paper is quite the ticket. Keep it coming... :D

HELL DRIVERS ITALIAN 2 FOGLIO
(http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff401/aririchards/Personal/AAA/IMGP0960.jpg)
Wish I could afford this linen backed, and framed.
Yet more, true Italian goodness - fantastic, Ari!
It looks amazing, as is.
-
its just very fragile, I don't like to touch it, and don't really like breathing on it! ;) But the colours are superbo.
-
Do you know who the artist is?
-
no, but its based on the UK art.

German Sex-Comedy. They were hugely successful over here in the early 70s. Nothing to be proud of but I like Ingrid Steeger a lot - she's the blonde on the left. She's also the lead in LOVE IN 3-D, that nice UK Quad Paul posted recently.

That's a shed load of offal posters. Wow, that makes my 1m x 1.5m area of poster storage look puny. Nice video thumbup
The snooker shed is now a distant memory by the looks of it.
-
I dont play Snooker, my dad does, but he doesn't use that one now, it needs some work.
But now I have the table soccer thing, I might get it all set up soon.
-
I got a bit dizzy during the Offaleater Shed tour. Awesome, dude.
Then, I went and watched the "Farq Me" music video.
Yegads! I nearly kark'd it.
Note to self: never do drugs prior to an Offaleater video viewing.
cheers
-
ahaha glad you "had fun"
-
I'm gonna have a few stiff drinks before I watch the Offaleater's other vids.
Should be fun.

Hey. Idea. Maybe you can have Jeeves pick me up in the Bentley?
Ari said he could have a rickshaw sent, but I prefer real horsepower. ;D

I even keep empty packaging sometimes.

HELL DRIVERS ITALIAN 2 FOGLIO
(http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff401/aririchards/Personal/AAA/IMGP0960.jpg)
Wish I could afford this linen backed, and framed.
That's another Italian to add to my search list. I'd love to find one of those, I have enough trouble finding and winning the British release though.
-
Apparently there was a UK one sheet last week in eBay under $200, dag nabit.
I need UK also, but on the later list.

DANG IT!!! I looked back through my saved searches and pulled up the completed listing and your right... Wow missed that one. I've got so many saved searches I can never keep up with looking at them on a regular basis, I usually check that one every week or so since there are rarely any new listings, just that one guy who thinks he can get $1,700 for one.

If it's the one I was watching it really wasn't in the greatest of condition relative to the price it went for so don't be distraught your Offalness!

You could have it backed and restored and still come out cheaper than they sell on emovie, which is the only other place I've seen them pop up.
-
There is a set of UK crowns that I'd rather have than the one sheet, I think four different designs, one being the same as the one sheet.
I also would like the Spanish one sheet.
Oh BLIMEY I want the quad also, hahah.

You could have it backed and restored and still come out cheaper than they sell on emovie, which is the only other place I've seen them pop up.
No not really - the last folded (unbacked) one Bruce sold in Sept/11 was for $221 and it was in a lot better condition than the eBay listing...

I was comparing the backed ones on emovie, to getting the ebay one backed.

There is a set of UK crowns that I'd rather have than the one sheet, I think four different designs, one being the same as the one sheet.
I also would like the Spanish one sheet.

That's alright Ari. It's called greed.

Hey Ari, you got one of these UK one sheets by Eric Pulford?
It's pretty nice, eh?

and the same art on this UK 'Lift bill' poster (16x22).

I have the lift bill.
was outbid recently on the quad.
Aussie one sheet is one of the nicest (same art), the dayill is terrible.

Is the UK one sheet that Ted posted a link to on ebay, really a $380.00 USD poster? Or is that wishful thinking? The seller says it's a rare piece.
'Tis a nice looking poster, regardless.
-
actually both those linked are lift bills, the UK one sheet is VERY ugly. (though i do have one)
Hard to say re value, its probably a movie fondly remembered by some older Brits, but I dont think anyone outside UK would care about it (except a few freaks like me).
I think they are over priced, but the cheaper of the 2 sold by Greg Edwards (rarefilmposters), well he is a good seller and knows his stuff. He is probably on the mark.
I saw the film as a youngster and always loved it.

Looks like a fun, circus-themed flicker.
Just checked emp and they sold an AU OS, back in Aug of 2013, for $18.00 USD, tho it had some condition issues. (Looks good to me, tho).

yeah, thats a bargain, its RARE (as in actually rare, I've only seen this and the one I have sell- though Im sure theres more- but you know), but again, small market. Emovie wouldn't be the place to sell it IMHO, or not where I would.
Emovie would be the place to BUY it though ;)
