Dont want to hijack a (dead) thread here but Re-release?

I just learned that BTTF is getting a re-release in the UK around October but you were saying you had US posters available... did you mean just in us 1-sheet format (27x40) or are you implying that the USA is getting a re-release too!?

because that would just be AWESOME. :D

Any chance someone can post a pic of one of these posters?

Anymore in the UK posters are seen in 27x40 and 30x40 format as standard.

The Quad Is MUCH Better Than The 1 Sheet...

Those are both pretty nice in my opinion (probably because they are very similar to the original)

The Quad Is MUCH Better Than The 1 Sheet..

Why would you say the quad is better?

Put them side-by-side proportionally spaced and it's clear the one sheet is objectively superior.

72% of the one sheet is devoted to the central image and 28% is credits and black space.

Only 48% of the quad is devoted to the central image and 52% is devoted to credits and black space.

It's just lazy design - they could have put so much more on the quad but just "squished" the one sheet image to fit on the quad.  Totally lame.

dont agree there.

How about giving a specific reason, i.e. "I prefer my posters primarily to consist of blank space and credits."

I like the differences in image scaling on both posters.
The BTTF quad title logo seems to be bigger on Martys life preserver  :)

As you can see, the original UK quad was equal to or superior to the US one sheet because they used the full horizontal frame.

It's a disgrace they didn't use a different version for the UK quad this time.

I've got 2 of each coming with the possibility of more 1 sheets.

If I can, I'll post photo's and offer them up to the good people on here instead of flea bay.

Well said Jon, though the Quad is a much better format. Mel just won't have it that the Quad is far superior than the 1 sheet.  deadhorse

I love Quads, period.  But I have to side with Mel on this one...I think the one sheet looks finer.
So there...pfffft...  thumbup

You probably also claim that a British breakfast is the healthiest in the world just because it's British and what you're used to!  ;)

Well I only speak from experience...whenever I have gone to the US for work, I have observed this interesting phenomena!

Many times I have seen coke cans in place of coffee mugs...

I've never drank coke for breakfast and I don't know anyone that does.

Unless you mean the times I was out at a keg parties until the early morning doing keg stands and drinking jack and coke back in my college days?

I occasionally will crank up a Red Bull in the morning if I have had a late night and a long day ahead of me.  But, its not really breakfast.  I do have breakfast in addition to.  Mainly its because it takes time to make coffee and offers more caffeine.  I've never really called it breakfast though.

Here's an unused Drew Struzan poster for BTTF.  They could have used this rather than just recycling the images from the original posters:

Yes, I agree, I think it's horrible, and I do love Struzan.

All the stuff in the background is cool and the clock with numbers falling off everywhere is nice. I think what ruins the poster is that Drew put Marty in a gay ass pose.

Yeah, at first glance it didnt even remind me of Drews work. The face does, somewhat, but the level of detail on everything else just doesnt meet the standard I'm used to from Struzan.
