Neato interviews with a BTTTF producer and the team that restored the actual BTTF DeLorean (now in Peterson's museum) and built an exact replica from the scanty info still surviving:

Peeve: They talk endlessly about how everybody LOVES the replica, so why not drive it to a public place and show reactions? Sad!  devil 2

This mail-order poster for Back to the Future II is extremely rare and almost never appears for sale.  Very few were released to the public before the distributor (Wallen Green) apparently ceased business.
