Exactly, and if you turn the pieces over you'll see another 5 rectangular posters, making up a big white rectangular poster.

Yes, it is for a German Circus called Circus Williams (http://www.circopedia.org/Circus_Williams) around the 1960's. The man Gunther Gebel-Williams (http://www.circopedia.org/Gunther_Gebel-Williams) in the ring was apparently quite a famous animal trainer.
