Title: Autograph storage ?
Post by: wasp23 on August 14, 2014, 03:54:39 AM
Hi, does anyone have any advice on how best to store signed photos ?
They are currently boxed up individually but I would like to store them safely whilst still be able to view them when I want.
Thanks.

I store mine in folders, in pockets, the same as my stills. Smaller signed photos, you can buy little books with pockets already in. If I get time later I'll take a pic of them.

I store mine in books made by a company called Itoya.  You can't buy from them directly, but they have distributors in a number of places that will ship.  The books are nice to display and they have plastic sleeves in which to insert the photos.  Everything is acid free and the books are intended as archival type storage for the items to last for a very long time.

Not sure of the sizes you have, but if your anything like me...

Here's the small A5 size, great for little stuff.. these store in a drawer, and come out whenever.

The next, and most popular size is A4, for those 10x8's, and a little bigger..

These just sit on a shelf..

And A3 size, also sit on a shelf, this is the folder type.. same as the A5.

And this A3 is the same as the lever arch type...

Thanks for the info guys.  I think that looks a good idea with the pockets.  None of my photos are bigger than 10"x8"

Moved them all into display books now and am pleased with the result.
Only thing is now it makes me want to get a few more.  Whereabouts are regarded as reliable online dealers ?
Thanks.

Have you tried Autographs Ink, they are based in Newcastle.....I think, or Gateshead. They are very trustworthy, and are very conscious about their reputation.

Is there any your looking for in-particular?   As I know a great fellow for Horror stuff.
