Hello all,
We are in the early stages of rebuilding much of the FFF Movie Posters website from the ground up.
As the person leading this charge, I would be absolutely thrilled to receive any suggestions/comments for improvements from a group that regularly buys vintage movie posters.
Our analytics tell us that the search tool is the most popular feature on the site, followed by the New Arrivals page and History of Movie Posters informational page.
Either critiques about the existing site or a dream list of features you'd want in a movie poster sales website would be appreciated. There's a lot of technical talent behind the redesign and virtually anything is possible.

a) You should rework your search criteria so that it has country (e.g. giving "Choose country" -> "Choose product type") because if user only want to see US items, it is not possible unless he selects a specific product type.
b) Add the feature to order results by price (high-low and low-high), year, etc.
c) Put in big if item in folded or unfolded, it is not clear for many items I have seen... Having a search criteria for getting only folded or unfolded items (or flat or tube shipping) would help too.
d) Having suggestion below the item page with similar titles or similar actors would be great.

Folded/Unfolded will depend on if that information is available in the data. If it's not then I'll see about adding it for future product additions.

I figured I'd start one all-encompassing thread for any cool things and updates going on at FFF Movie Posters.
This morning we launched the first of several sales on Ebay that will be going on over the next month or so.
The first sale includes 15 posters (multiples of each) such as Pretty in Pink, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, 12 Monkeys and others. They were only recently priced and made available for purchase.
What's cool about these particular posters is that all come from a former employee at the Paramount studio distributor. He has kept them together in storage since they were printed until now.
As such these posters are in exceptional condition as the photographs depict. It's a great chance to upgrade or fill in some collection holes.

I don't have all the details as I wasn't directly involved in the purchase. In a nutshell a guy who used to work at the distributor (might have been more than just Paramount) stored away boxes full of posters after they were printed. They've been in storage until sometime last year when we bought them.
The posters are about as close as you can get to straight off the press.
The third sale, starting next week, has some higher profile titles, though there are some nice ones in this current batch.

Sounds exciting, and it always is, when stuff is found like this, that has been stored away for years. If you are able to get more info, could you share it on the forum? I'm sure many would be all eyes and ears. thumbsup.gif
