It was a crazy 2 day auction... whilst the world focused on morrie everett perhpas...amazing deals to be had. Case in point - your Jonas which keeps getting better every time you look at it.  For me, what better way to celebrate Canada Day on this July 1 than to completely break the bank 'o loonies and pick up these two Canadian WW1 gems I never thought i would own.

Mike & Vick, your posters are truly beautiful. The Buy Victory Bonds with the lone soldier is very moving. The French is quite a treat.  It is always a pleasure seeing your wwi posters. I am so glad they found you :) :)

Ps. Im a bit confused with these Julys threads... :P

Since T decided to chime in I think it is a hands down movie poster thread but I will keep trying anyway.

Another French WWI buy-

Beautiful. Will you work your resto magic or will you leave it as it is? It looks in good condition.

This will depend on how it is when I see it. It may have some mildew/mold in the lower right edge, I can't tell if it is that or dust/dirt. If it is mold I will work on it, if not the folds should flatten out nicely in time so will leave it as is until I frame it in flat storage. No tears worth repairing, a single 1" edge tear on that right side in the border only and any creasing is minimal so will leave un-restored if at all possible.

I remember looking at a copy of this one, a while back that was for sale, and also thinking how cool the imagery was.

Nice one, Mike.

We're in different forum sections.  Are you seeing these two threads via Unread Posts...?

Very cool poster. I am dong my level best to fight the urge to expand into magic posters. Will have to see how long that lasts.
