This one had been on my list for a while: La diosa arrodillada (1947), with art by Eduardo Obregon. I finally snagged it:

Plus some more Mexican posters.

Whenever I go hunting for great Mexican paper, I usually find it here under your new acquisitions.
You have a fine eye for the good stuff, sir.

As I continue to branch out into more international fare, I realized that I had nary an Egyptian poster in my stash.
So, I went a-hunting at The Movie Poster Page, DarvishJo's (John/Music Man) website.

There were many to choose from, but then I saw this -- right in my wheelhouse.

I love 80s cheese and I was forced to review this film back when it hit VHS in early 1990.
Its another awful Fred Olen Ray sci-fi thriller, but the bold, fast artwork by Anise (?) spoke to me.
Pictured is Teagan Clive (a female bodybuilder) as the steroid-induced Alienator.
I had to have it.
Here's John's post, complete with the entire film from Youtube (if you dare):
http://www.mopopoc.com/2013/07/alienator-1989-jan-michael-vincent.html

I contacted John Saturday morning and the poster arrived Monday afternoon.  Talk about lightning fast...
Thank you, John for this colorful piece of Egyptian movie poster art!
 cheers

It speaks to me too.  It says "I like Ted a lot better than you!"

That's some wacko poster Ted  thumbsup.gif

Deke, boobs on 3.5 of 4 of the posters  thumbsup.gif

I very much like the first one (La Diosa)

The second one is screwing with my mind... Are those her legs or boobs? Too far for boobs, too close for legs. Or am I going nuts?

Don't overthink it!  Those are just some large breasts.

Though it's true the proportions look a bit off.  For purposes of comparison, here is Julissa, the actress from the poster:

Alienator...just wow, words fail me.

I hope it will be getting pride of place on your walls. I suggest the vestibule or perhaps the formal dining room.

Ok even though just about no one seems to like the SW I'll admit I like it lol.  I kinda feel thats what Harrison pretty much looks like these days.  I havent watched any of the trailers yet but ya I agree with Mike this poster is a spoiler for sure.  here is a link to the forums discussion of the SW poster. http://www.allposterforum.com/index.php/topic,224.msg184000.html#msg184000

Harrison looks like he's about to deliver a 'Get off my lawn, dagnabbit!' tirade...

Terrible poster.  Maybe no one will go see the film...

The left light sabre beam is crooked to the holder it comes out of, Is she holding onto the bed post or shadow, Is her belt over or under the post, Is a worm trying to enter her nose and who's that old codge falling over with the weight of thing in his hand?

Guess I'll have to watch it to find out

Can't wait

BTW the silverfish have been at this poster, maybe find another?

The title of that film is so great. The poster makes it total justice.

I already had a copy of "Que lindo cha cha cha", but I can't resist a good bargain so I got another. In a somewhat bizarre choice by the auctioneer, this poster was in a lot paired with a US WWI propaganda poster. I'll post the propaganda poster in the advertising section.  It was a nice bonus.

Deke, that Cha Cha poster is sensational.
You've given me newfound appreciation for Mexican posters.
Thank you.

Que lindo cha cha cha is a great design.  I have Mexican lobbies from this film with the same artwork.  I think it's one of the most famous Mexican posters out there.  Nobody painted like Cabral.

So this one was a surprise find for me...

I agree.  I seriously think this is one of the last films I would have expected to find a Thai poster for.  I almost crapped when I saw a Thai movie poster for the film EEGAH!

Nice JABBERWOCKY, Mike!
I am a big fan of this title and I thought there was no other paper worth hunting down after the American original and the '82 RR.
You proved me wrong.
That one is great!
 cheers
